Srinagar, May 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, scores of parents from Safakadal area of Srinagar staged a protest in Press Enclave against a Mumbai based news channel for projecting their sons as stone-pelters on its primetime show.
The protesting parents said that the channel displayed the photographs of several youth, labeling them as “terrorists and stone-pelters”.
“This Channel is infamous for its biased reporting. The shameless and biased channel ran 2008 and 2010 visuals and related those incidents to present situation and even labeled our sons as terrorists and stone-pelters,” said a protesting parent.
The parents maintained that the channel has been doing propaganda against innocent youth to save the police driver who mowed down a youth Aadil of Safakadal, last week. “We will register an FIR against this channel and will even question those who have sent the photographs of our sons to the channel,” they said.
“Without any verification and investigation, how can this channel put up pictures of youth and project them as stone-pelters and terrorists?” they asked.
