Kashmiri detainees denied medical aid in Tihar jail

Srinagar, May 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party headed by illegally detained Hurriyat leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah has warned that unrealistic approach of India towards the long-pending Kashmir dispute can imperil peace and stability in the South Asian region.

The Democratic Freedom Party in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said that India had compounded the miseries of the Kashmiri people by denying their internationally-accepted right to self- determination. The statement said that New Delhi could kill Kashmiris but it could not crush their freedom sentiment. »

Srinagar, May 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, around half a dozen government teachers sustained injuries in the use of brute force by Indian police on protesters in Srinagar, today.

Dozens of teachers were detained by Kothi Bagh Police after they tried to march towards civil secretariat to press for their demands. As the teachers tried to march towards Civil Secretariat, the police party reached the spot and bundled dozens of them in police vehicles and lodged them in Kothi Bagh Police station. »

Srinagar, May 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi (MeA) celebrated its 40th foundation day with the resolve to continue its struggle against illegal Indian occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.

The MeA held a meeting in Srinagar, which was presided over by its President Mir Muhammad Iqbal. The meeting paid rich tributes to all the martyrs of Kashmir who sacrificed their present for the future of Jammu Kashmir. »

Srinagar, May 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, scores of students of Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora, today, staged a protest against the detention of a B Tech student of the university.

The protesting students demanded immediate release of the student, who has been identified as Tasaduk Rashid Butt.

Media reports said that Tasaduk was picked up by the Indian police on Thursday night along with his father. The students raised slogans “Tasaduk ko Rihaa karo (release, Tasaduk)”.

Earlier in the morning, the Special Operations Group (SOG) of police had stopped a bus of the university at Pampore and noted down details of several male students.

Srinagar, May 14 (kMS): In occupied Kashmir, a meeting of the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference (JKMC) was held in Sopore which was chaired by its Chairman, Shabbir Ahmed Dar and was attended by Mohammad Ramzan, Shamim Ahmed, Manzoor Ahmed and Haji Muzzaffer Ahmed besides others.

The participants of the meeting gave valuable suggestions to further the cause of freedom movement. These suggestions were decided to be the future course of the organization. »

To commemorate his anniversary a function was organized at Mirwaiz Manzil in Rajouri Kadal which was presided over by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. »

Srinagar, May 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir National Front (JKNF) has said that illegally detained ailing Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail are denied proper medical aid.

The JKNF spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Indian government is sparing no efforts to prolong the illegal detention of Hurriyat leaders including the JKNF Chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan. »

New Delhi, May 14 (KMS): Former Indian home minister and finance minister, P Chidambaram has said that there is an undeclared internal war going in occupied Kashmir.

P Chidambaram in an article written in the Indian Express said, “The king will never raise the sword against his own people. With great sorrow, it must be admitted that there is an undeclared internal war in the Kashmir Valley. »
