UNMOGIP urged to help ease tension along LoC

Srinagar, May 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a forceful anti-India and pro-freedom rally was held in Srinagar, today, which was led by the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.

The rally was held in Wanganpora area of the city with full-throated slogans like “We Want Freedom” and “Jeeway Jeeway Pakistan”. It was organized to protest against the killing, nocturnal raids and arrest of youth by the Indian forces. A large number of women participated in the rally. »

Srinagar, May 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani has strongly condemned the continued sexual assault and molestation of innocent girls by the personnel of Indian armed forces.

Lamenting at the puppet authorities, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said that Major Gogoi like black sheep were tormenting all ethics and were involved in devilish deeds of sexual exploitation of innocent girls. »

Srinagar, May 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik has strongly condemned the prolonged detention of party leaders Sirajud Din Mir and Abdul Rashid Magloo who are languishing at Kotbalwal jail under draconian Public Safety Act.

Srinagar, May 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has said that the Kashmir dispute has become a flashpoint for entire region and could cause endanger peace in South Asia due to rising tension between India and Pakistan.

Mukhtar Ahmad Waza while addressing a public meeting in Pahalgam said that the people of Kashmir had been rendering precious sacrifices from the past several decades for securing their birthright to self-determination. Srinagar, May 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the members of Voice of Victims (VoV), a human rights group based in Kashmir, briefed a team of prominent advocates from India about the prevailing situation in the territory.

The VoV team led by Executive Director Abdul Qadeer Dar informed the visiting Indian lawyers who met them in Baramulla how Indian state machinery was using violent methods to suppress the genuine voice of Kashmiris for freedom. »

Challenges bail granted by court to woman leader

Srinagar, May 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, in a bid to prolong the illegal detention of the Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Aasiya Andrabi, the puppet authorities have appealed against the grant of bail to the woman Hurriyat leader.

Aasiya Andrabi was arrested on April 20, 2018 on the charges of organizing students’ protests in Islamabad district over the rape and murder of eight-year-old girl, Aasifa Bano, in Kathua area of Jammu. She was arrested along with women associates Fahmeeda Sofi, Nahida Nasreen and Saima Rasool from Aang area of Anchidora in the district. Senior Superintendent of Police, Islamabad, Altaf Khan, had said that she was arrested for “engineering student protests”. »

Srinagar, May 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) while expressing serious concern over escalating tension along the Line of Control and Working Boundary has urged the UN Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) to play its mandated role in ending the clashes between the two countries.

The DFP General Secretary, Muhammad Abdullah Tari, in a statement in Srinagar said the Kashmir dispute is the bone of contention between the two countries. He warned that the tension between the two countries could engulf the entire region. »
