Srinagar, May 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Chairman, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, Mahazi Azadi President, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, the Chairman of International Forum for Justice, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Imtiyaz Ahmed Reshi, Ghulam Nabi War and Ghulam Nabi Waseem in their statement have paid glowing tributes to the two martyrs women, Aasiya and Neelofar.

Aasiya and Neelofar were abducted, molested and subsequently killed by men in uniform in Shopian in May 2009.

They said that the perpetrators were still roaming free and demanded exemplary punishment for the culprits. They said that such acts of Indian forces were aimed at killing the resolve of Kashmiris towards the freedom struggle but would never succeed.

They appealed to the Amnesty International, Asia Watch and other human rights organizations to take cognizance of the situation. “The issues like the rape and murder, discovery of unmarked mass graves and disappearances must be probed by an independent commission.

Meanwhile a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League led by Muhammad Yaseen Attaie visited the residence of Hurriyat leader, Imtiyaz Ahmed Reshi and enquired about the health of his son, Sahil Imtiyaz.
