Srinagar, May 14 (kMS): In occupied Kashmir, a meeting of the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference (JKMC) was held in Sopore which was chaired by its Chairman, Shabbir Ahmed Dar and was attended by Mohammad Ramzan, Shamim Ahmed, Manzoor Ahmed and Haji Muzzaffer Ahmed besides others.

The participants of the meeting gave valuable suggestions to further the cause of freedom movement. These suggestions were decided to be the future course of the organization. »

Srinagar, May 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir National Front (JKNF) has said that illegally detained ailing Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail are denied proper medical aid.

The JKNF spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Indian government is sparing no efforts to prolong the illegal detention of Hurriyat leaders including the JKNF Chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan. »

Jammu, May 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian Army and locals are at loggerheads after the Indian troops disallowed the people of four villages to carry out any construction work within 1000 yards of an army camp in Nagrota area of Jammu region.

The issue came to the fore when complaints were raised by none other than Speaker of so-called Kashmir Assembly and former Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh from Bharatiya Janata Party at the floor of the house. Indian media quoted Singh as saying that “army doesn’t let people construct even a toilet. People are harassed”. »

India urged to shun military approach to Kashmir

Srinagar, May 13 (KMS): As most parts of the world observed Mother’s Day, today, thousands of Kashmiri women continue to wait for the return of their sons killed in fake encounters or subjected to disappearance in custody by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir over the past 29 years.

A report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service on the Mother’s Day, today, said that the continued Indian state terrorism had resulted in the killing of over 95,000 Kashmiris rendering 22,873 women widowed since 1989 to 11th of May 2018. As many as 11,071 women were raped, disgraced or molested by the troops during the period. 55-year-old resistance leader, Aasiya Andrabi along with her associates Fehmeeda Sofi and Nahida Nasreen are illegally detained in Central Jail, Srinagar. »
