Normal life crippled in Kashmir to mourn Shopian killings

Srinagar, May 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities have imposed restrictions in Srinagar and other parts of the Valley, today, to prevent a march towards the civil secretariat and a sit-in protest against the killing of 10 youth by the Indian troops in Shopian, yesterday.

Call for the march and sit-in outside civil secretariat in Srinagar was given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik after the killing of the youth. »

Srinagar, May 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people participated in the funeral prayers of martyr Professor Dr. Muhammad Rafi Butt in Ganderbal district, Sunday evening.

Mourners were raising pro-freedom, pro Pakistan and pro-Islam slogans as the martyrs body was marched towards the local graveyard. »

The areas where restrictions will be imposed include Rainawari, Khanyar, Nowhatta, Safakadal, M R Gunj, and partial in Maisuma and Kralkhud. »

Srinagar, May 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) on Sunday urged people to march towards the civil secretariat in Srinagar, tomorrow, to protest continuous bloodshed.

The JRL comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik made the announcement after the killing of 10 Kashmiri youth during a cordon and search operation and in firing by the troops in Shopian, today. »

Shutdown observed in IOK against killings

Srinagar, May 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their ongoing acts of state terrorism martyred 10 more youth including a Kashmir University professor and a teenager in Shopian district, today, bringing the death toll to 15 during the past 36 hours.

Five youth were killed by the troops during a cordon and search operation in Badigam area of Shopian district, this morning. The killings led to massive anti-India protests in the district. The troops resorted to pellet and bullet firing and teargas shelling injuring scores of protesters, many of them critically. Five injured, later, succumbed in hospitals. Four youth were killed and dozens were injured by the troops in Chattabal area of Srinagar, yesterday. »

Srinagar, May 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, mujahideen on Sunday afternoon offered gun salute to one of the martyrs, Adil Ahmad Malik at his ancestral village at Malikgund in Shopian district.

As the body of Adil reached his village, thousands of people who had assembled there raised intense pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans. Three masked mujahideen appeared at the funeral prayers of the martyr and fired some rounds in the air as a mark of respect to him. »

Srinagar, May 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, former puppet Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has termed the killing of the Kashmir University professor as an answer to the Indian rulers who claim jobs and development are the solution to the uprising in Kashmir.

Omar in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said, the killing of the Kashmir University professor Muhammad Rafi Butt is ““an answer to those who claim jobs & development are the solution to the violence & alienation in Kashmir”. »

Srinagar, May 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have paid rich tributes to four youth martyred by Indian troops in Chattabal area of Srinagar and another identified as Aadil Ahmed deliberately crushed to death by an army vehicle in Noorbagh area of the city.

The JKLF spokesman in a statement in Srinagar, paying tributes to the martyred youth, said, “Tyranny when increases is destined to vanish and as Indian oppression and tyranny is crossing every limit in Kashmir, its end is also not far.” »

Srinagar, May 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has condemned the illegal detention of its Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik.

The JKLF spokesperson in a statement issued in Srinagar said that police cordoned the residence of Yasin Malik and arrested him the other day and shifted him to Kothi Bagh police station. »
