Srinagar, May 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, 10 more youth have been martyred in the ongoing act of state terrorism by the Indian troops in Badigam area of Shopian district, today, bringing the death toll to 14 during the past 24 hours.

Five youth were killed by the troops during a cordon and search operation and another five in the firing by the troops on the people protesting against the killings in Shopian district.

Those who were martyred during a cordon and search operation were identified as Professor Dr Muhammad Rafi Butt, Saddam Ahmad Paddar, Bilal Ahmad Mahand, Aadil Malik, Tausif Ahmad Sheikh.
Five youth identified as teenager Asif Ahmad Mir, Aadil Ahmad Sheikh, Sajjad Ahmad Rathar Nasir Ahmad Kumar and Zubair Ahmad Nagroo were shot at and injured during protests at Badigam and Nagbal and succumbed in a Srinagar hospital. The troops also destroyed a house during the operation.
Earlier, an Indian policeman and an army officer were reportedly injured in the firing in the same area. »

Srinagar, May 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Kashmir University erupted in protests after a professor of sociology department went missing mysteriously.

The professor, Muhammad Rafi Butt, hails from Ganderbal district. The university officials told media that Butt’s family members reported to the varsity administration that he was missing since Friday. »

Srinagar, May 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an old woman died of suffocation due to massive PAVA, pepper and teargas shelling by the Indian troops in Qamarwari area of Srinagar, the family said.

Pervez Ahmed,  son of the deceased woman, told media in Srinagar that there was intense firing of teargas shells and pepper shells near Masjid-e-Ibrahim Qamarwari, Srinagar, the other day. »

Troops launch CASO in Shopian

Srinagar, May 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed against the killing of three youth martyred by Indian troops in Chattabal area of Srinagar and another identified as Aadil Ahmed deliberately crushed to death by an army vehicle in Noorbagh area of the city.

Call for the strike has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.

Srinagar, May 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh acts of state terrorism martyred four Kashmiri youth in Srinagar, today.

The troops killed three youth during a violent cordon and search operation in Chattabal area of Srinagar. The fourth one identified as Aadil Ahmed was killed when a vehicle of Indian forces deliberately hit him at Noorbagh. Three Indian soldiers were injured at Chattabal. Massive protests erupted in several localities of Srinagar soon after the killings. Indian police and troops used brute force to disperse the protesters, injuring many people including three photojournalists. The puppet authorities snapped internet services in the city to prevent people from sharing information about the situation in Chattabal. »

Srinagar, May 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, tens of thousands of people are marching with the body of martyred youth Fayaz Ahmad Hamal from his home in Fateh Kadal towards the Eidgah, Srinagar, on Saturday evening.

Fayaz Ahmad Hamal was killed along with two other youth by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Chattabal area of Srinagar.

Journalists from the ground informed to their newsrooms that tens of thousands of people are marching with the youth’s body towards Eidgah. »

Muzaffarabad, May 05 (KMS): The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL) held a rally in Muzaffarabad, today, to condemn India for trying to play down the Kathua rape and murder case to save the culprits.

The demonstrators with placards, banners and black flags in their hands raised high-pitched slogans for freedom and withdrawal of Indian troops from occupied Kashmir. They demanded implementation of the UN resolutions on Kashmir for durable peace in South Asia. »

Srinagar, May 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court has sought explanation from the principal district judges, who have not reported on the condition of jails in their respective districts to the court.

A division bench of Justice Muhammad Yaqoob Mir and Justice Ali Muhammad Magrey issued the directives after observing that all the PDJs were under command to visit jails in their respective districts after every two months. »
