Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik, today, led a protest held under the auspices of the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) against the surge in killings by the Indian troops in the territory.

Scores of Hurriyat leaders and activists participated in the demonstration held in Nowhatta area of Srinagar against the civilian killings, including the yesterday’s killing of a boy Faizan Ahmad in Pulwama. »

Gilani denounces NIA’s character assassination campaign

Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people, today, participated in funeral prayers of a youth, Sajjad Ahmed and a 10th class student, Faizan Ahmed Poswal, who were martyred by Indian troops in Pulwama town, yesterday.

Braving heavy rains, thousands of people participated in the funeral prayers of Sajjad Ahmed and Faizan Ahmed in their native places. They raised high-pitched anti-India and pro-freedom slogans.

The Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement in Srinagar strongly denounced the killings in Pulwama and said that with the imposition of Governor’s Rule, India had waged a war against the people of occupied Kashmir to suppress their just liberation struggle. »

Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has strongly condemned the brutal killing of 10th class student Faizan Ahmed in the firing of Indian troops on protesters in Pulwama.

The DFP spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar also paid rich tributes to Sajjad Ahmed Shah of Handwara who was also martyred by the troops during a siege and search operation in Pulwama. »

Slams Delhi-based news channels for smear campaign

Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik has urged the Amarnath yatris (pilgrims) and tourists to pay no heed to misreporting by the Indian news channels and feel no fear or pressure during their visit to the territory.

The resistance leaders in a joint statement in Srinagar reminded the visitors that Kashmiri hospitality was a globally acknowledged fact and the Kashmiri people will continue to retain and nourish this tradition and also keep the brotherhood and communal amity intact. They said that the Kashmiri people never compromised with their tradition of hospitality even in the toughest and trying times, but always played a friendly host to a tourist or an Amarnath yatri. »
