JKPL condemns arrest of party Chairman » Kashmir Media Service

Srinagar, June 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL) has strongly condemned the detention of its party Chairman. Mukhtar Ahmad Waza.

The JKPL spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Mukhtar Waza was arrested after coming back from Dadsara, Tral, where he addressed a condolence gathering.

The spokesman said Waza has been lodged at Sherbagh police station in Islamabad town.

The spokesman also expressed concern over the plight of detainees lodged in different jails of India and the territory and appealed the international human Rights organisations to take note of falling health of Kashmiri detainees.
