Clashes amid shutdown continue in Pulwama

Srinagar June 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik has said that crushing youth to death under military vehicles has become a new tool of war employed by India in the territory.

Muhammad Yasin Malik said this while talking to the bereaved family of a recent such victim, Qaisar Ahmad Butt, at Delgat in Srinagar. He emphasized that pro-India politicians, political parties and the ruling dispensation were directly responsible for these gruesome killings, as they had provided the terrorists in uniform with legal cover and immunity. Hurriyat leaders including Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash and a delegation of Democratic Political Movement also visited the victim family. »

Srinagar, June 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, has said that Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute and the Kashmiri people are sacrificing their lives for a dignified solution to the dispute.

Mukhtar Ahmed Waza while addressing a public gathering at Ashmuqam in Islamabad district said, neither New Delhi nor can its stooges dilute the genuineness of the Kashmiris’ demand because the international community had recognised their inalienable right to self-determination through a number of resolutions passed by the UN. »

Srinagar, June 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, clashes between protesters and Indian troops continued as shutdown entered the third day, today, in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district in demand of a body of a local youth, recently martyred by the troops in Tangdhar area of Kupwara district.

The clashes erupted in Washbugh, Dangerpora and Murran areas of the town. Many people were injured after the troops fired pellets and teargas shells on the protesters. The situation was very tense in the town till reports last came in. »

New Delhi, June 05 (KMS): Former Indian police chief in occupied Kashmir, Kuldeep Khoda, has admitted that a “cult”, a euphemism for pro-freedom sentiment, has born in Jammu and Kashmir with more educated youth getting enthused to join armed struggle as an “attractive and glamorous” option, as common man is fed up with the existing system.

Khoda, who is among the longest serving police chiefs in occupied Kashmir in an online article said, “When political grid is inactive…, common man on many occasions becomes a victim of favoritism and nepotism. Frustration of common man with the system he is in, has to find an exit route.” »

Srinagar, June 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has lambasted the Indian media for its shallowness and frustration and for unleashing propaganda against Hurriyat leadership.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement issued in Srinagar bashed the Indian media for misquoting a Kashmiri youth, Sheikh Irfan, to malign the pro-freedom leadership. “Indian media repeatedly exposes its shallowness and frustration! The youth of Kashmir like Irfan Sheikh who are at the forefront of the freedom movement, giving immense sacrifices, have every right to question their leadership,” he said. »

Srinagar, June 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders including Muhammad Yousuf Naqash visited Dalgate area of Srinagar and expressed solidarity with the family of martyred youth, Qaiser Butt.

Qaisar Butt was deliberately crushed to death by a vehicle of Indian Central Reserve Police Force in Nowhatta area of Srinagar on Friday. »

Srinagar, June 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) has said that the puppet administration is prolonging the illegal detention of the party Chairman and senior APHC leader, Masarrat Aalam Butt.

A JKML spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Masarrat Aalam Butt was brought to Srinagar from Kot Bhalwal Jail of Jammu region and was produced before a court on Monday for the hearing of a false case registered against him in Kothi Bagh Police Station in 2010. He said that the Masarrat Aalam was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Srinagar, where after hearing the arguments, the judge fixed the next hearing of the said case on 23rd of June. He said that after the hearing, the JKML Chairman was taken back to Kot Bhalwal Jail. »
