Thousands attend funerals of youth

Srinagar, June 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three more Kashmiri youth in Kupwara district, today.

The youth were killed by the troops during a cordon and search operation in Machhil area of the district.

Meanwhile, thousands of people raising anti-India and pro-freedom slogans participated in the multiple funerals of two martyred youth in Kulgam and Pulwama districts, today. Mudassir Ahmed and Sheraz Ahmed, residents of Kulgam and Pulwama, were killed by the troops in a fake encounter in Tangdhar area of Kupwara on the 26th of May. They were secretly buried at Badwan in Tangdhar after being dubbed as foreign militants by the Indian army. However, the families of the youth rejected the Indian army’s claim and demanded handover of their bodies. As a result of strong protests by the locals, the bodies of the youth were exhumed and handed over to their respective families in Lajoora and Parigam areas of the two districts. »

Srinagar, June 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a court in Islamabad district has extended the judicial remand of illegally detained Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi, and her associates Fehmeeda Sofi and Nahida Nasreen for another 10 days.

Aasiya Andrabi along with Fehmeeda and Nahida Nasreen was taken from Srinagar Central Jail to a court in Islamabad district where the judge extended their remand for another 10 days. »

Srinagar, June 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has said that after a gap of about two-and-a-half months, when the trial of the case against party Chairman Shabbir Ahmed Shah resumed on Tuesday the Special Court of Delhi informed that August 7 will be the next date of hearing because of transfer of the judge.

A DFP spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that after waiting for hours together Shabbir Shah’s lawyer was informed that the new judge wanted to study the case, for some time. »

Srinagar, June 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people chanting anti-India and pro-freedom slogans attended the funeral of two youth, Mudassir Ahmed and Sheraz Ahmed, in Kulgam and Pulwama areas, today.

Mudassir Ahmed and Sheraz Ahmed, residents of Parigam in Kulgam and Lajoora in Pulwama, were killed by the Indian troops in a fake encounter in Tangdhar area of Kupwara on May 26. They were buried by the Indian police with the help of some local people at Badwan in Tangdhar area of Kupwara district. »

Srinagar, June 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League Acting Chairman, Abdul Ahad Parra, has said that the Indian government, its agencies and electronic and print media are using all nefarious tactics to malign the Kashmiris’ struggle for securing their right to self-determination.

Abdul Ahad Parra said this while addressing a meeting of JKML Executive Council in Srinagar. He said that
freedom struggle had a great significance for them, and “we will never be cowed down by misleading reports of Indian media.” »

Srinagar, June 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Muzahamat has strongly condemned the continued house arrest and detention of Hurriyat leaders and activists including Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Bilal Siddiqi, Muhammad Ashraf Laya and Muhammad Rafiq Shah terming it as the worst example of political vengeance.

Urges world bodies to take cognizance of HR abuses in IOK

Srinagar, June 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has said that the Kashmiri people pursuing the right to self-determination are facing the worst kind of Indian state terrorism.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement in Srinagar expressing deep concern over the gross human rights violations perpetrated by the Indian troops in the occupied territory said that unabated killings and brutalities were the worst form of state terrorism. The statement said that a delegation called on Syed Ali Gilani and briefed him about the grim situation people were facing in South Kashmir particularly in Shopian. »
