India asked to address Kashmir dispute

Srinagar, June 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Kashmir and Palestine Day will be observed, tomorrow, on Friday to impress upon the United Nations and the international community to fulfill their commitment to resolve the two disputes in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the World Body.

Call for observance of the day has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. A resolution calling for an end to military occupations in Kashmir and Palestine will be presented in all mosques, shrines and imambargahs across the territory. The resolution will urge the world community to take serious notice of the rule of oppression and suppression and gross human rights violations perpetrated by the Indian and Israeli occupation forces in Kashmir and Palestine. The Joint Resistance Leadership in its statement issued in Srinagar said that the prevailing state of absolute lawlessness in Kashmir had rendered the civil liberty, honour and dignity of the general public highly vulnerable. It deplored that the people were being killed, maimed and detained on fabricated grounds. »

Srinagar, June 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat forum Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that Kashmir dispute is the basic reason for the rift between India and Pakistan.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq addressing a gathering at the revered shrine of Dastgeer Sahab Sarai Bala in Srinagar said innocent lives will continue to go waste on both sides of the Line of Control unless serious measures are taken to address the core dispute on Kashmir. »

Shabbir Dar condemns PSA against Hurriyat leaders

Srinagar, June 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities booked Hurriyat leaders, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori and Farooq Tawheedi under draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) and shifted them to Kathua Jail.

Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori and Farooq Tawheedi were booked under PSA in February last year, and were subsequently shifted to Kathua Jail. »

Washington, June 07 (KMS): Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, Secretary General of World Kashmir Awareness, has urged the United Nations to ensure a sustained dialogue process between Pakistan and India for settlement of the Kashmir dispute as per aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai in a recent article said, “We know that all international conflicts ultimately were resolved on the negotiating table. If that is true then the world powers should become deeply engaged in order to make sure that the peace process between India and Pakistan once initiated does not get derailed.” »

Srinagar, June 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has strongly condemned the re-arrest of two sisters by Indian police in Islamabad district.

The HCBA in an Executive Committee meeting held in Srinagar said that one of them being a P.G. (Economic) student who had to appear in the examination from June 1 to June 21, 2018 but because of re-arrest has been unable to appear in the said examination on June 6 onwards and lodging them in Sadder Police Station, Islamabad, in a beastly manner. »

Washington, June 07 (KMS): Dr. Syed Nazir Gilani, President of Jammu and Kashmir Council for Human Rights, criticized the quashing of the bail granted to Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chief Aasiya Andrabi and her two associates Nahida Nasreen and Sofi Fahmeeda by the Additional Sessions Judge, Islamabad district.

Dr Gilani in a recent article said, “On hearing the appeal filed by the government, Division Bench of Jammu & Kashmir High Court quashed the bail granted to three Kashmiri women” including Aasiya Andrabi. »
