Srinagar, June 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has urged the Kashmiri people to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with simplicity and remember those families whose near and dear ones have been martyred by the Indian troops.

Mukhtar Ahmad Waza addressing a public gathering in Hangul Gund in Kokarnag deplored that the troops did not spare the people of Kashmir even in the holy month of Ramadan and continued their atrocities and killings. He said that brute force was being used to suppress the ongoing liberation movement, adding that people were tortured and harassed to suppress their voice for freedom.

The JKPL Chairman demanded of the UN General Secretary to help in resumption of the dialogue process between Pakistan and India to settle the lingering Kashmir dispute.
