Srinagar, June 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has said that people of the territory are pursuing their right to self-determination promised to them by the international community.

A DFP spokesman in a statement in Srinagar said New Delhi is continuously practising the policy of obduracy and it does not try to read writing on the wall. Ironically, the pro-India politicians of the territory are also not having such guts to show New Delhi its right place, he added. »

Srinagar, June 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), Mukhtar Ahmad Waza visited the residence of martyred youth, Mudassir Ahmad Butt, at Parigam Kulgam and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.

Mudassir was recently martyred by the Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Tangdhar area of Kupwara district. »

India’s military-might policy cause of bloodshed in IOK

Srinagar, June 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has reiterated that the Kashmiris will continue their struggle till they achieved their cherished goal of freedom from Indian bondage.

Syed Ali Gilani, who is under continued house arrest since 2010, in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the puppets of New Delhi had unleashed a reign of terror against innocent civilians in the territory. He said that by placing curbs, denying religious obligations and detaining resistance leaders, the authorities were denying them the right to stage peaceful protests. Syed Ali Gilani said that the sacrifices of the Kashmiri youth would not be allowed to go waste and their mission would be accomplished at all costs. »

Srinagar, June 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the video conversation between a Kashmiri mujahid’s family and Indian troops, in which the former is seen denying to latter’s persuasion to ask their son to lay down arms, has gone viral on social media.

In a 1-minute and 42-second video clip, which has gone viral, an army man is seen trying to persuade the family members of a mujahid – the identity of both could not be ascertained – to ask their son to surrender when he is trapped in a cordon launched by the Indian forces. The family, however, is seen categorically rejecting the offer by army. »

Srinagar, June 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) has appealed to Pakistan and India to take tangible measures for bringing peace so that the bloodshed gets stopped in valley and people living on borders are safe.

The appeal was made during a general meeting of APSCC held in Srinagar. The Sikh leaders made a compassionate appeal to Pakistan and India to start a meaningful dialogue exercise without any wastage of time. »

Srinagar, June 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court has overturned detention orders issued against seven persons under draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA), on the ground that the detaining authority lacked any compelling reasons to detain them.

A single bench of Justice M K Hanjura quashed four PSA detentions while three other detentions were quashed by Justice Ali Muhammad Magrey and Justice Janak Raj Kotwal. »

Srinagar, June 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Farooq Ahmed Dar, the 29-year-old who hit the headlines in April last year after being used as a human shield by the Indian Army Major Leetul Gogoi was reportedly offered Rs 50 lakh by reality TV show, Big Boss, to become a participant, but he refused.

Farooq Dar was quoted by “The Hindu” as saying, “I was offered 50 lakh by Big Boss producers in July last year. They even told me that tickets for me were ready.” »
