878 Kashmiris martyred in PDP-BJP regime in IOK

Srinagar, June 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown will be observed, tomorrow, against the continued killing spree by the Indian troops in the territory.

Call for the shutdown has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik and is also aimed at registering protest against the cold-blooded murder of veteran Kashmiri journalist, Shujaat Bukhari. The resistance leaders in a statement in Srinagar said that the occupied territory had witnessed a sudden surge in killings since the Eid day on Saturday. »

Srinagar, June 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik has sent a petition to the United Nations Human Rights Council, demanding the establishment of an independent international commission of inquiry to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the gross human rights violations in Kashmir. »

Geneva, June 20 (KMS): A seminar titled “Korean women, South & North- peace, reconciliation, rights & development” was organized by Women’s UN Report Networking and Women’s Federation for World Peace International.

Kashmiri representatives, Ms Shamim Shawl and Ms Tayyaba Bashir attended the seminar.

Srinagar, June 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders have strongly condemned the continued illegal detention of the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Chairman, Shabbir Ahmad Dar by police in Islamabad town.

Hurriyat leaders Mohammed Iqbal Mir, Imtiyaz Ahmed Reshi, Ghulam Nabi War, Ghulam Nabi Waseem and Muhammad Ahsan Untoo in their joint statement in Srinagar said that Shabbir Ahmad Dar was there to participate in the martyrdom anniversary of Qazi Nisar and was arrested along with other Hurriyat leaders. »

Srinagar, June 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people, today, attended the funerals of youth killed in siege and search operations by the Indian forces in Tral, Pulwama and Nowpora in Kulgam.

Three rounds of funeral prayers were held for Adil Akram Lone at his native Midoora village while the funeral prayers of his associate, Danish Khaliq Dar were held twice at Pinglish in Tral. »

Srinagar, June 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, expressing deep concern over the stepped up Indian state terrorism has urged the United Nations and UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) to take cognizance of the gross human rights violations being perpetrated by the Indian troops in the territory.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Authorities in Delhi through their military might seem desperate to cow down our spirits. However all the follies played by them will culminate in their defeat. Representing the sentiments and aspirations of people, it has remained our stance and we have been saying that we will never succumb to any pressure and will take the ongoing freedom movement to its logical end.” »

Srinagar, June 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chief, Muhammad Yasin Malik, visited Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar and enquired about the condition of a pellet victim, Abdul Majeed.

Abdul Majeed, a resident of Soura area of Srinagar, was critically injured as he was hit by a barrage of pellets fired by the Indian forces on peaceful protesters on June 16, the day of Eidul Fitr. He is battling for his life at the hospital. »

London, June 20 (KMS): The All-Party Parliamentary Kashmir Group (APPKG) in the UK Parliament has released an interim report on the ongoing human rights situation of occupied Kashmir.

The report compiled after receiving various testimonies about the human rights violations perpetrated by the Indian troops in the occupied territory was released by Chairman of the APPKG, MP Chris Leslie, in a meeting of the Group held in London. The report has discussed in detail the draconian laws, Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and Public Safety Act (PSA) as well as enforced disappearances in the territory. »

Srinagar, June 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their continued acts of state terrorism, martyred 878 Kashmiris including 21 women and 98 young boys during the puppet regime of PDP-BJP from May 01, 2015 till date.

According to the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, of those martyred 81 youth were killed in fake encounters. »

The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, in a statement issued in Srinagar remembering Qazi Nisar on his martyrdom anniversary hailed his religious, social and political contribution. He said that Qazi Nisar was a religious scholar and a humble person. »
