Forceful demonstrations against killings

Srinagar, June 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh acts of state terrorism martyred five Kashmiris in Islamabad district, today.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the troops killed four youth, Dawood Ahmed Sofi, Majid Manzoor Dar, Muhammad Ashraf Itoo and Aadil Hussain Mir, and destroyed a residential house during a cordon and search operation in Srigufwara area of the district. The owner of the house, Muhammad Yousuf Rathar, was also killed while his wife, Hafeeza Begum, was critically injured in the firing of the troops. Earlier, an Indian policeman was killed and two troops were injured in an attack in the same area. In the meantime, five Indian soldiers and four policemen were injured in a grenade attack in Tral. »

Srinagar, June 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the 55th Founding Day ceremony of Awami Action Committee was held with Hurriyat Forum Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in chair at Rajouri Kadal in Srinagar, today, with the renewal of the pledge to continue the freedom struggle till complete success.

Srinagar, June 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed for the third consecutive day, today, in Tral area of Pulwama district to mourn the killing of three youth by the Indian troops.

All shops and businesses establishments remained closed while traffic was off the road in Tral town and adjoining areas for the third consecutive day.

The troops killed the youth including Danish Khaliq Dar and Aadil Akram Lone during a cordon and search operation in Tral on Tuesday. »

Srinagar, June 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Ummat-e-Islami Jammu Kashmir, today, took out rallies in various areas in four districts of South Kashmir in remembrance of Qazi Nisar Ahmed.

The rallies were led by leaders of Ummat-e-Islami in some of the areas including Watergam, Kokernag, Gawran, Gopalpora, Achabal, Trahpoo, Aishmuqam in Islamabad district.

in Shopian rallies were taken out in Turkwangam, Wachi, Keegam areas while in Pulwama rallies were taken out in Litter, Imam Sahib, Muran, Pampora, Sangam, Tahab and in Kulgam rallies were taken out in Khudwani, yaripora, Kund Qazigund, Arwani and Churath. »

Srinagar, June 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leader, Javaid Ahmad Mir has said that India is not serious in peaceful resolution of the lingering Kashmir dispute and has given its troops a free hand to kill innocent Kashmiris especially youth.

Javaid Ahmad Mir addressing a public gathering at Mazar-e-Shuhada Eidgah in Srinagar, today, paid tributes to martyrs of South Kashmir and Ejaz Ahmad Bazaz on his martyrdom anniversary. He said that no pro-India political party was interested in political and democratic settlement of the dispute but only wanted to kill the time. »

Srinagar, June 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, after the failure of its army and paramilitary forces to suppress the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom movement, India has now sent commandos of the elite National Security Guard, a special forces unit under the Home Ministry, for the purpose.

The NSG commandos, often referred to in the media as Black Cats because of the black outfit and black cat insignia worn on their uniform, can be seen training at the Border Security Force camp at Humhaha near Srinagar. About two dozen snipers from the NSG’s house intervention teams (HIT commandos) have been training at the camp for the last two weeks. »

Srinagar, June 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, five Indian troops and four policemen were injured in a grenade attack in Tral town of Pulwama district, today.

Unidentified persons hurled a grenade at a patrolling party of Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Special Operations Group (SOG) of Indian police. Five CRPF troops and four SOG personnel sustained injuries in the attack. »

Srinagar, June 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a policeman’s son is believed to have joined mujahideen ranks days after a missing report was registered in Awantipora police station.

Tajamul Ahmad Wani, son of a head-constable, Ghulam Muhammad Wani, is missing since June 18 and has reportedly joined a mujahid organization, police officials told media men. »

Srinagar, June 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, member of the so-called Kashmir Assembly, Er Abdur Rasheed has challenged the pro-India National Conference (NC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to show even a single achievement on political or human rights front since 1996.

Er Rasheed addressing a press conference in Srinagar said both the parties have given Delhi a free hand from time to time to bulldoze the sentiments, rights and aspirations of the people of Kashmir and it is obvious that they have a silent understanding while compromising everything. »
