Thousands attend funeral prayers of martyrs

Srinagar, June 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian Army has decided to intensify its violent operations against Kashmiri freedom activists and general masses to contain the upsurge in the ongoing mass uprising in the territory.

As part of this plan the Indian forces have prepared a new hit-list of 21 Kashmiri youth active against the Indian occupation. Indian media reported that the occupational forces have formulated a strategy banning processions and funerals of the martyred youth killed during cordon and search operations in the occupied territory. As per the plan, the Indian army would be taking possession of the bodies that would not be returned to their relatives. Meanwhile, the occupation authorities have asked the Indian police to identify and act against the people who address the funerals of the martyred youth and eulogize their sacrifices. Indian Police Chief in Kashmir, S P Vaid, in response has claimed that they have devised a strategy to deal with the funerals of the killed youth. Indian troops and police personnel have increased frisking of people and vehicles in Srinagar. »

Srinagar, June 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people attended the funeral prayers of the five Kashmiris martyred by the Indian troops in Islamabad district, yesterday.

The troops killed a civilian, Muhammad Yousuf Rathar, by opening indiscriminate fire at his house during a cordon and search operation in Srigufwara area of the district. Later, the troops destroyed the house, killing four youth, Dawood Ahmed Sofi, Maajid Manzoor Dar, Aadil Rehman and Ashraf Itoo.

A sea of people attended the funeral prayers of Dawood Ahmed Sofi in Zainakote area of Srinagar amid high-pitched pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. Freedom songs were played from loudspeakers of the mosques in the entire area. »

Srinagar, June 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has said that the dance of death and destruction will not end until the Kashmir dispute is resolved in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar Urged the UN to fulfill the commitments it made to the Kashmiri people through the resolutions passed by its Security Council. »

Srinagar, June 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in Islamabad and Kulgam districts of south Kashmir to mourn the killing of five Kashmiris by the Indian troops.

The troops had killed these people in Srigufwara area of Islamabad district, yesterday.

Shops, business establishments and educational institutions are closed and traffic is off the roads in the two districts. »

Srinagar, June 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik, has said that no matter who runs the affairs in the territory, he or she is deployed to serve New Delhi’s interests and target the Kashmiris.

Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the ongoing killings as well-devised policy of India and said, “Jammu Kashmir is a police state where killing humans is a normal affair.” »

Srinagar, June 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an 18-year-old youth, who was injured in the firing of Indian troops in Srigufwara area of Islamabad on Friday, is battling for life at Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar.

A doctor at Soura hospital said that the youth, Shahid Nazir, was brought to the hospital from Bijbehara with a bullet injury in his head. »

Srinagar, June 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the authorities have dumped the rehabilitation plan for pellet victims of the 2016 mass uprising who have suffered psychological trauma following loss of eyesight.

In 2016, nearly 150 persons lost eyesight either completely or partially. As per psychiatrists, they are facing serious mental problems due to lack of psychological intervention and a rehabilitation plan for them. »

Srinagar, June 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian forces have arrested over 130 mujahideen in past two years.

The figures compiled by Crime Branch (CB) of Police revealed that a total of 133 mujahideen have been arrested during 2016 and 2017. The data shows 49 mujahideen were arrested in 2016, while 84 were arrested in 2017.

It shows that 342 mujahideen have been killed during the two years, with highest 208 killed during 2017. »
