Srinagar, June 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Gilani. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik has demanded impartial probe by UNHRC or by some international agency into Machil Kupwara fake encounter

Indian troops had killed three youth in a fake encounter on June 06, 2018.

The JRL expressed deep concern over the killing of three youth including Zahid Rashid (Kulgam) and termed it a very sensitive issue and a matter of concern for all. “The youth were brutally massacred and buried in mysterious circumstances. We feel the pain of separation and demand for their burials according to religious rituals.

Meanwhile, various delegations called on the resistance leadership and apprised them of the situations arising about reluctance of the authorities. During the interaction with the JRL the delegations said the authorities are reluctant to return the bodies of youth, killed in Machil Kupwara fake encounter. Denying burial as per religious rites is insensitive and callous, they added.

The joint leadership appealed the international community to initiate an impartial probe and ascertain the identity of those buried in unmarked graves.

The Joint resistance leadership said,” Kashmiris will continue their struggle till freedom is achieved and added that instead of facing resistance leaders on political turf, they are being caged and Indian forces are carrying massacre. We will never surrender or succumb to pressure but will pursue our cherished mission till it is taken to its logical conclusion.

The JRL suggested Indian authorities to read writing on the wall, saying that force, intimidations, detentions and killing won’t force Kashmiris to submission and stressed to resolve Kashmir dispute in its historical perspective and as per aspirations of Kashmiri people.
