JKLF chief Yasin Malik detained in IOK » Kashmir Media Service

Srinagar, June 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Mohammad Yasin Malik was detained from his residence in Srinagar, today.

A JKLF spokesman in a statement in Srinagar said that Yasin Malik was arrested from his Maisuma residence early Monday morning and was lodged at Kothibagh police station, Srinagar.

Hurriyat leader and the Chairman of Peoples Political Party (PPP) Engineer Hilal Ahmad War was put under detention at his Maisuma residence.

The detentions came in the wake of a protest shutdown called by the Joint Resistance Leadership against continued civilian killings in the valley.
