UN urged to stop India’s naked aggression

Srinagar, June 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai has said that India will not be able to suppress Kashmiris’ freedom movement by dint of brute force and it will have to recognize their inalienable right to self-determination.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement paid rich tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs and emphasized that the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people would never go waste. India, he said, continued genocide in the occupied territory while stepping up its state terrorism. The APHC leader pointed out that Jammu and Kashmir was a disputed territory and the dispute needed to be resolved in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council. »

Srinagar, June 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, clashes erupted between Indian troops and protesters in Hajin area of Bandipora district, today.

Scores of youth took to the streets against vandalizing of shops by a patrolling party of the Indian Army at main Hajin market in the district. The youth pelted the patrolling party of Indian army’s 13 Rashtriya Rifles with stones.

Locals said that the troops vandalized the shops and misbehaved with shopkeepers. »

New Delhi, June 25 (KMS): Amnesty International India and Human Rights Watch have called upon the Indian authorities to stop arresting Dalit rights activists.

Referring to the fear prevailing among people following arrests in connection with the Bhima Koregaon violence earlier this year, the Amnesty International said, “On June 6, Pune Police arrested five people including prominent Dalit activists Sudhir Dhawal and Rona Wilson, members of Committee for Release of Political Prisoners from Mumbai, Nagpur and Delhi for allegedly having Maoist links during its investigation into the Bhima Koregaon violence on January.” »

Srinagar, June 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the son of martyr, Ali Muhammad Mir, has appealed to the international community to deliver justice to the family against the ruthless killing of his father by the Indian Army-backed gunman, Papa Kishtwari, 22 years ago.

Ali Muhammad Mir was abducted and then killed by Ghulam Muhammad Lone alias Papa Kishtwari on June 26, 1996. The family awaits justice since then. »

New Delhi, June 26 (KMS): With the imposition of Governor’s Rule in occupied Kashmir, India is conspiring to further tighten the noose around Hurriyat leaders by framing different cases against them, said a media report quoting Indian officials.

The officials said that it would be done through coordinated action by the Delhi-based National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED). »

Islamabad June 26 (KMS): The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL), Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, while condemning shock waves of state terrorism in occupied Kashmir has called upon the United Nations to look into the atrocities in the light of the recently-published report by the UN Human Rights Council and stop India from perpetrating these brutalities.

Erdoğan greeted over his victory in presidential elections

Srinagar, June 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, pro-freedom leaders including Syed Ali Gilani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq have extended congratulations to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan after he emerged winner in the presidential elections in Turkey.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Our long and painful walk to freedom demands and deserves more practical and concrete steps from every freedom-loving nation especially the collective forum of Muslim countries – OIC – so that there is an end to our sufferings and we are allowed to live an honorable and peaceful life.” »
