‘India has waged war against Kashmiris on all fronts’ » Kashmir Media Service

Srinagar, June 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Ummat-e-Islami, Qazi Yasir has said that India has waged a war against the Kashmiri people on psychological, physical and political fronts.

Qazi Yasir while addressing media persons at his residence in Islamabad town said, the situation in South Kashmir resembles to that of Karbala. He demanded immediate release of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat District President Mir Hazfeezulah saying that he had been made a victim of political animosity.

Qazi Yasir who was released after detention of nine days at Saddar police station in the town straightaway went to the home of a martyred youth, Shakoor Dar, in Sopat Tengpora area of Kulgam district and expressed solidarity with his family. He also led a pro-freedom rally in the area.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir People’s League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmed Waza, today, visited the residence of a martyred Civilian Yawar Ahmed at Gassipora in Kulgam district and expressed solidarity with his family. Paying glowing tributes to the martyr, he said Kashmiri youth are spilling their blood for the cause of freedom and self-determination.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman, Zafar Akbar Butt, in a statement welcomed Amarnath yatris as guests in occupied Kashmir. However, he added that social and peaceful political activities would continue in the Kashmir Valley.
