India orders filing of fresh FIR against Aasiya

Srinagar, June 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership while condemning the oppressive measures unleashed by India and its stooges against the Kashmir people has asked the international community to come forward in a big way to stop New Delhi from committing blatant aggression in the territory.

The leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar said that crackdowns, killings and spree of arrests by National Investigation Agency, Enforcement Directorate and other Indian agencies were all manifestation of anti-democratic and colonial behavior of Indian rulers. The leadership termed the fresh FIR by NIA against ailing Aasiya Andrabi as a frustrated move. »

Srinagar, June 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, delegations of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League and Salvation Movement visited the families of martyrs in different areas of the territory.

A delegation of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat visited the residences of martyrs Muhammad Yousuf Rathar and Shahid Nazir at Nowshehra and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families.

Geneva, June 28 (KMS): The Kashmiri diaspora in Europe held a demonstration outside UN headquarters in Geneva, today, to condemn the ongoing Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir.

The demonstrators holding placards and banners raised high-pitch slogans favouring freedom of Kashmir.

A good number of Kashmiris from across Europe also descended on the office of the United Nations in Geneva to thank the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights for its historic report on Kashmir. They strongly condemned the Indian intransigence and asked UNHRC to act upon the recommendations to establish a commission of inquiry to investigate the rights violations in Kashmir. »

Srinagar, June 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that the Indian forces have let loose a reign of terror in the territory.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar quoted the delegations from Kulgam, Shopian, Pulwama, Anantnag, Budgam, Baramulla, Kupwara and Bandipora as saying that people are harassed, tortured and threatened of dire consequences under the garb of search and cordon operations. »

Srinagar, June 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, member of the so-called Kashmir Assembly, Engineer Abdur Rasheed has said that rejecting the United Nations Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) report on Kashmir by India does not make a sense.

Engineer Rasheed in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “The way Indian government is rejecting the revelations made in the UNHRC report does not make a sense as facts speak themselves. If Army claims to be so clean on human rights, one has a right to ask why the army has been blocking justice in Pathribal, forced labour, forced disappearances, Kunan Poshpora, and likewise incidents. »

Srinagar, June 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a Hindu mob set ablaze a truck carrying bovine animals along Jammu-Srinagar highway in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The bovine-laden truck, which was on way to Kashmir, was stopped by the mob on the highway at Kohbag near Ramban last evening, a police official said, adding the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. »

Cairo, June 28 (KMS): The first-ever Arabic book written on the Kashmir crisis by a Middle Eastern author was launched in Cairo during a special event organised by the Pakistan Embassy in Egypt’s capital city.

The book written by Omar Mohammad Nazzal Al Armouti, a Jordanian, Kashmir Crisis: Unresolved Issue of Muslim Ummah introduces the plight of Kashmiris to the Egyptians as well as other Arab communities living in the historical city, a press release issued by the embassy said. »

Srinagar, June 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian Home Ministry ordered National Investigation Agency (NIA), notorious for implicating Kashmiri resistance leaders in fake cases, to register a fresh first investigation report (FIR) against Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chief Aasiya Andrabi for her pro-freedom speeches.

Indian media reported that DeM Chairperson Andrabi was alleged to be involved in organising anti-India rallies in Kashmir. »
