Indian forces have let loose a reign of terror in IOK: APHC » Kashmir Media Service

Srinagar, June 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that the Indian forces have let loose a reign of terror in the territory.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar quoted the delegations from Kulgam, Shopian, Pulwama, Anantnag, Budgam, Baramulla, Kupwara and Bandipora as saying that people are harassed, tortured and threatened of dire consequences under the garb of search and cordon operations.

“In this grim situation, the life of common people have become miserable and vulnerable at the hands of massive presence of armed forces,” the spokesman said and condemned the excessive use of military power against people.

“Under the pretext of search and cordon operations, common people are deliberately targeted and victimised by the men in uniform,” he added.

He appealed to the United Nations Commission for Human Rights to take cognisance of the gross violation of human rights by forces in Kashmir.
