Srinagar, July 02 (KMS): After returning from their Kashmir trip, US-based filmmaker Jamie DeWolf and his partner and underwater model-photographer Iara Mandy recently revealed that they secretly filmed dozens of interviews with torture victims of the Indian state.

The duo in a viral Facebook post informed that the interviews would be released online in the next two months. These one-to-one interactions, they added, would be “one of the first comprehensive reports on human rights abuses in Kashmir”. »

Srinagar, July 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the General Secretary of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Ghulam Nabi Sumji has expressed grave concern over the heavy deployment of the Indian army, paramilitary forces and police force in the densely populated areas of the territory.

Sumji in a statement issued in Srinagar said that political leaders and activists were subjected to humiliation, third degree torture and inhuman treatment during nocturnal raids by the Indian army and police personnel. He demanded of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights to prevail upon India to shun human rights abuses in Kashmir. »

Srinagar, July 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Mohammad Yasin Malik has strongly condemned the plight of Kashmiri political detainees languishing in different jails of India and the territory.

Mohammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar denounced the arrest of JKLF leader, Mushtaq Ahmad Wani of Hajin Sonawari who arrested by police during a nocturnal raid recently. He said that unleashing terror on peaceful political activists is shameful and undemocratic. »

Srinagar, July 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) has expressed solidarity and sympathy with the family of Ghulam Ahmad Butt of Barzulla, Srinagar, whose son, Mudasir Ahmad Butt is believed to be martyred by Indian forces in Kupwara earlier last month but the authorities are not handing over his body to the family. »

Srinagar, July 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a delegation of resistance leaders including Abdul Ahad Parra, Zahoor Ahmad Butt and Ghulam Nabi War visited the residence of martyr, Sajjad Ahmad Shah, at Chagula in Handwara area of Kupwara district, today.

Addressing mourners on the occasion, the leaders paid rich tributes to Sajjad Ahmad Shah and other Kashmiri martyrs, and vowed to continue their mission till its accomplishment. Sajjad was martyred during a cordon and search operation by the Indian troops at Thumna in Pulwama district on Friday. »

Srinagar, July 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, claiming that the youth killed by Indian forces in Tunga Top forest area of Kupwara district on June 29 was their son, Mudasir Ahmad Butt, family members and relatives held a protest at Press Enclave Srinagar to demand the body of Mudasir.

Ghulam Ahmad Butt, Mudasir’s father, said that Mudasir left his home in Old Barzulla Srinagar in December 2016 for some work. He stayed in touch with family members on phone, but in January his phone became switched off. The family then registered a missing report in Sadder police station. »

Srinagar, July 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed in Islamabad town to commemorate the first death anniversary of freedom activist Bashir Ahmad Wani.

Bashir Wani was martyred by the Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Dialgam area of the district on 1st of July, last year. Two civilians including a woman-were also killed after the troops had opened fire on the protesters who were trying to help Bashir and his associate escape. »

Srinagar, July 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference, Shabbir Ahmad Dar, has said that India is carrying out the genocide of Kashmiri people in a systematic way.

Shabbir Ahmad Dar while addressing a party meeting in Sopore condemned the ongoing Indian state terrorism in the occupied territory. He said that the Kashmiri people including teenage boys were being killed by the Indian forces with impunity. He denounced the recent killing of young boy Faizan and other youth in Pulwama district. »

A large number of people including women and children participated in the protest, held at Eidgah, Barzulla, in Srinagar. Father of the martyred youth, Mudasir Ahmad, also attended the protest march. »
