Srinagar, July 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, emotional scenes were witnessed inside Pathankot Sessions Court room when father of Kathua minor rape and murder victim cried “she is my daughter” upon being shown her belongings.

The victim’s father was shown some articles produced by Crime Branch inside the court and asked to identify them by the judge. On seeing them he broke down saying, “Yes, she is my daughter”. »

Srinagar, July 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Grand Mufti Designate, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam, on behalf of Supreme Court of Islamic Sharia Jammu and Kashmir has thanked the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) for releasing its first-ever report on human rights situation in the occupied territory.

Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam in a letter to the President of the UNHRC based in Geneva hoped that the report would be taken to its logical and pragmatic conclusion by laying the foundation for Human Rights Inquiry Commission in Jammu and Kashmir. »

Srinagar, July 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has strongly criticized the ongoing open aggression of Indian forces against the common people of Kashmir and condemned the use of indiscriminate force in nook and corner of the territory.

The DFP Secretary General, Muhammad Abdullah Tari, in a statement in Srinagar said that it was because of the unbridled powers given to the Indian forces and the lack of accountability that every day innocent civilians were brutally killed and wounded besides properties were vandalized and people especially youth were arrested every now and then. »

Srinagar, July 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, special prayers will be offered on Friday and complete shutdown will be observed on Sunday to commemorate the second martyrdom anniversary of popular youth leader, Burhan Muzaffar Wani, and those killed during mass uprising erupted after his killing by the Indian troops on 8th of July in 2016.

Call for the fateha khawani in mosques on Friday and observance of complete shutdown on Sunday has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. The JRL in a joint statement issued in Srinagar also said that it would hold a public meeting in Tral on Sunday. »

Srinagar, July 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, dozens of youth in Rahmoo area of Pulwama district spent night on fruit trees to escape arrest at the hands of Indian forces, who barged into the locality, late night.

Many residents told media that the youth were certain that they would either be detained or beaten up. “The life for villagers in Rahmoo has become hell because the forces’ personnel beat people without any provocation and ransack homes in the guise of cordon and search operation,” a resident said. “They snatch our identity cards,” many villagers said in unison. »
