Srinagar, July 17 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders, Shabbir Ahmad Dar, Yasmeen Raja, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Imtiyaz Ahmed Reshi, Ghulam Nahi War and Ghulam Nabi Waseen have strongly condemned the 30-day judicial remand of Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chief, Aasiya Andrabi, and her two associates, Fehmeeda Sofi and Nahida Nasreen, by a Delhi court in a fake case framed against them by India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA).

The leaders in their statements condemned the brazen and dastardly action by the NIA against the Kashmiri women leaders terming it as the worst form of political vendetta. Aasiya Andrabi along with her two associates has been lodged in Delhi’s notorious Tihar jail.

The Hurriyat leaders said, “All this is being done to curb the ongoing freedom struggle in occupied Kashmir.”

They said India has resorted to the highest degree of terrorism and demanded early release of Aasiya Andrabi and her associates. They appealed to the international community and the world human rights organizations to put pressure on India for early release of the detained leaders.

The leaders expressed serious concern over continued detention of Hurriyat leaders, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo, Muhammad Shafi Shariyati, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Peer Saifullah, Shahid-ul-Islam, Merajuddin Kalwal, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Farooq Tawheedi and others.
