Srinagar, July 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, residents of various villages of Watapora area of Bandipora district, today, complained of atrocities by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation.

The residents told media that the troops cordoned off Chana Mohalla, Khospora and Gulshan Aabad localities of Watapora, today, and conducted door-to-door searches.

They said that during the operation, the troops threw choicest abuses on people and vandalized houses besides thrashing a few youth.

On the other hand, people staged a demonstration in Barzulla area of Srinagar demanding body of a youth, who was martyred by Indian troops during a siege and search operation in Tunga Top area of Kupwara district last month. Indian police used brute force to disperse the protesters.
