Srinagar, July 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in Beerwah town and its adjoining areas in Budgam district, today, on the first martyrdom anniversary of a youth, Tanver Ahmed Wani.

Tanver Ahmed Wani, a tailor by profession, was killed after Indian troops opened fire on peaceful protesters in the main market Beerwah on this day, last year.

All shops, business establishments and educational institutions are closed while traffic is off the road in Beerwah and its adjacent areas.

Witnesses told media that the people in flocks are visiting the graveyard and home of the martyred youth to offer prayers and express solidarity with hs family.
