Srinagar, July 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, at least two Indian troops were injured in an attack in Islamabad district, today.

Unknown gunmen fired upon the troops of Indian Central Reserve Police Force deployed on Khanabal-Pahalgam road at Bumzoo in Mattan area of the district, leaving two of them wounded. The injured troops were rushed to a hospital for treatment.

Soon after the attack, Indian police and troops cordoned off the area and started an operation to nab the attackers. Further details are awaited.

Unidentified gunmen also attacked a patrolling party of the Indian army in Qaimoh area of Kulgam district. However, there was no report of injuries. The Indian forces’ personnel have launched operation in the area to arrest the attackers.
