Ashraf Sehrai condemns arrest of TeH leaders

Srinagar, July 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred one more Kashmiri youth during a cordon and search operation in Sudal area of Kupwara district, today.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Zafar Akbar Butt, Farida Bahenji, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Imtiaz Ahmed Reshi and Ghulam Nabi War in their statements said that the Kashmiri youth were laying down their lives for a just cause and their sacrifices would not be allowed to go waste. They paid rich tributes to the two youth, Aadil Ahmed Butt and Bilal Ahmad Dar, who were martyred by the troops in Mehman Mohalla area of Islamabad town, yesterday. »

Srinagar, July 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in parts of Kulgam district and Islamabad town in south Kashmir against the killings of two youth by Indian troops yesterday.

The youth, Aadil Ahmed Butt and Bilal Ahmad Dar, were killed by the troops in Lal Chowk area of Islamabad town.

Complete shutdown is being observed in Qaimoh and Khudwani areas of Kulgam district and in Islamabad town. All shops and commercial establishments are closed in these areas while transport is off the road.

Srinagar, July 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai has condemned the arrest of party leader, Bashir Ahmed Qureshi, in Srinagar by Indian police.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar said that police arrested Bashir Ahmad Qureshi after raiding his residence in Bagh-e-Mehtab area of the summer capital of occupied Kashmir and lodged him in Sopore police station. He described the action as unjustified and frustration of the occupation authorities.

Srinagar, July 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, five troops of Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were injured in an attack in Bijbehara are of Islamabad district, today.

A official told media that five CRPF men sustained injuries after unidentified persons lobbed a grenade on CRPF deployment at Zirpara in Bijbehara.

Soon after the attack, Indian police and troops cordoned off the area and started searches to nab the attackers.

Srinagar, July 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leader and the Chairman of Peoples Political Party (PPP), Engineer Hilal Ahmad War called on the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, at his residence, Mirwaiz Manzil in Srinagar, today.

Both the leaders discussed the present political situation in region, in general, and elections in Pakistan, in particular. They prayed for the prosperity and stability of Pakistan and hoped that the new government of Pakistan would formulate a more strong foreign and Kashmir policy that can save Pakistan from destabilization and help in resolving Kashmir dispute as per the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

Srinagar, July 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders have paid rich tributes to the two youth who were martyred by Indian troops in Lal Chowk area of Islamabad town, yesterday.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar paying tributes to the martyred youth said that the youth were on the forefront of liberation movement and were sacrificing their precious lives for the Kashmir cause. “They bravely and willingly offer their today for our tomorrow,” he said. »

Srinagar, July 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has condemned the occupation authorities for muzzling the voice of the press in the territory.

The HCBA General Secretary, Advocate G N Shaheen, in a statement in Srinagar expressed anguish over the registration of FIR against a news gathering agency. He said that journalists and media houses should be allowed to work freely in Valley and their voice should not be suppressed. »

IOK court reserves order on FIR registration

Srinagar, July 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a Srinagar court has reserved the order on an application seeking registration of FIR in custodial death of a student, Umar Qayoom, in 2010.

Umar Qayoom, a class 11 student from Soura area of Srinagar, was killed in custody on August 25, 2010, after he was arrested by the police from outside his home.

The family of deceased teenager has been exploring every option to get the FIR registered in the case for past eight years. »
