Srinagar, July 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has condemned the occupation authorities for muzzling the voice of the press in the territory.

The HCBA General Secretary, Advocate G N Shaheen, in a statement in Srinagar expressed anguish over the registration of FIR against a news gathering agency. He said that journalists and media houses should be allowed to work freely in Valley and their voice should not be suppressed.

G N Shaheen deplored that the authorities instead of encouraging the media houses to depict ground reality were trying to stifle their voice which is very unfortunate.
