Srinagar, July 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai has condemned the arrest of party leader, Bashir Ahmed Qureshi, in Srinagar by Indian police.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar said that police arrested Bashir Ahmad Qureshi after raiding his residence in Bagh-e-Mehtab area of the summer capital of occupied Kashmir and lodged him in Sopore police station. He described the action as unjustified and frustration of the occupation authorities.

He also denounced the arrest of party activists, Ashaq Hussain Narchor and Aasif Ahmed Dada during the police raids on their houses and harassment of their family members.

said that the occupation authorities through their military might could not intimidate the Hurriyat leaders and activists into submission and the ongoing liberation movement would be taken to its logical conclusion at all costs.
