Demos in Srinagar, Sopore against detention of leaders

Srinagar, July 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and other Hurriyat leaders have welcomed the statement of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman, Imran Khan that Kashmir is the core issue between Pakistan and India and the dispute should be resolved through dialogue.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a tweet message said, the Kashmiris welcome the statement of Imran Khan calling for the resolution of Kashmir dispute through dialogue in view of the huge human cost being borne by the people of Kashmir. He hoped that the two neighboring countries would take steps to give real peace a chance. »

Srinagar, July 27(KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani on Friday welcomed the statement of PTI chief Imran Khan that Kashmir was the core issue between India and Pakistan and the two countries should resolve it through dialogue.

“Now it is time for India to reciprocate. India should come clear on Pakistan’s offer” Gilani said in a statement issued this evening. »

Srinagar, July 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has said that the Kashmiris will resist any machinations over the Article 35-A that grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir in Indian constitution.

Indian Supreme Court will hear a petition seeking abrogation of Article 35-A on 6 August. »

Srinagar:27 July (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, forceful anti-India protests were held in Bijbehara today after occupation forces went berserk in the town.

The occupation forces personnel suddenly started asking for I-cards of the people in the main market of Bijbehara and smashed vehicles and motorbikes around. »

Srinagar, 27 July (KMS): Indian troops launched a massive Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in the heart of Srinagar city, Lal Chowk in the evening, today.

The CASO was jointly launched by army, SOG personnel and paramilitary forces from Ghanta Ghar to the Court Road.

Srinagar, July 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in Islamabad town and different areas of Kulgam district on the third consecutive day, today, against the killings of two youth by Indian troops.

The youth, Aadil Ahmed Butt and Bilal Ahmad Dar, were killed by the troops in Lal Chowk area of Islamabad town, on Wednesday.All shops and commercial establishments are closed in the main Islamabad town and Qaimoh and Khudwani areas of Kulgam district while transport is off the road.

Meanwhile, the occupation authorities have imposed undeclared curfew in Mattan Chowk, Reshi Bazar and Cheeni Chowk and other areas of Islamabad town to prevent people from staging demonstrations against the killings.

Srinagar, July 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has urged Britain to play an effective role in the resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “The UK should play a key role and share responsibility for amicable resolution of vexed Kashmir issue.”

He referred to the UN human Rights report on Kashmir presented by Lord Qurban Hussain, Lord Nazir Ahmed and Lord Tariq Ahmed in the UK Parliament. “We hope all members of United Nations will listen to screams and take notice of atrocities perpetrated by Indian authorities on the people of Jammu and Kashmir and will make efforts to see aspiration of subjugated people accomplished,” he said. »

Srinagar, July 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference (JKMC), Shabbir Ahmed Dar and Tehreek Istiqlal Chairman, Ghulam Nabi Wasim led a protest demonstration at Sagipora in Sopore against the illegal detention of Hurriyat leaders and activists lodged in different jails of India and the territory.

Shabbir Ahmed Dar addressing the protesters reminded the international community about their responsibilities towards the sufferings of Kashmiri people particularly the political prisoners lodged in different jails. He said that the Kashmiri prisoners of conscience were being denied the basic facilities by the jail authorities to harass and frighten them. They are not being taken to court even to attend their fake trials, he added.

Srinagar, July 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, people staged forceful protests in Goriwan area of Bijbehera in south Kashmir’s Islamabad district today after vandalism by Indian troops.

People took to streets and staged protests after the troops vandalized the property at Goriwan Chowk of the town. »
