Srinagar, July 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, seven personnel of Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force were injured in a grenade attack in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. A police official confirmed that unknown attackers lobbed a grenade towards the CRPF party at Jawbehra Chowk near Awantipora in the district, last night.

Four of the injured soldiers were shifted to local hospitals in Awantipora, while three critically injured were referred to army base hospital in Srinagar. »

Reign of terror by Indian troops across IOK denounced

Srinagar, July 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, has urged the Indian leadership to shun its stubborn and haughty attitude and reciprocate Pakistan’s offer for sorting out all outstanding issues particularly the Kashmir dispute.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar welcomed the remarks of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief, Imran Khan, that Kashmir is the core issue between India and Pakistan and the two countries should resolve it through dialogue. He said that Imran Khan’s remarks reflected the state policy of Pakistan. He maintained that Pakistan has a political importance in the Muslim world and this country is center of hope not only for the Muslims of South Asia but also for the whole Muslim Ummah. He expressed the hope that the elections in Pakistan would lead to a stable government in the country and all political and religious organizations would work together. »

Srinagar, July 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Coordination Committee has called for complete shutdown on 6th August, 2018, to protest against the judicial and legislative onslaught on Article 35-A and Article 370 of the Indian Constitution.

Addressing media persons at a local hotel in Srinagar, Deputy Grand Mufti of occupied Kashmir, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam, and Awami National Conference President, Muzafar Shah, said that it was collective responsibility of people of Jammu and Kashmir to protect Article 370 and Article 35-A. They said that the Kashmiri people had to protect the Article 35-A from judicial and legislative onslaught. »

New Delhi, July 28 (KMS): The Indian Supreme Court will take up on July 30 the hearing of the report submitted by the fact-finding team of Bar Council of India (BCI) over the conduct of Jammu lawyers in obstructing the Crime Branch (CB) to file charge-sheet in the brutal rape and murder case of an eight years girl, Aasifa, of Rasana in Kathua court.

The Supreme Court will also hear the reply filed by the Bar Association Jammu (BAJ) over the contempt petition notice issued by the apex court. »

Srinagar, July 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, speakers at a seminar in Srinagar discussed ways and means for protecting Article 35-A of the Indian Constitution that protects the rights of the residents of Jammu and Kashmir.

The seminar was organised by Kashmir Center for Social and Development Studies (KCSDS) and other civil society groups at a local hotel in Srinagar. Prominent political experts and politicians discussed ways and means to protect on political and legal fronts of the Article 35-A of the Constitution. The participants also held a sit-in to register their protest against the attempts by the extremist Hindu organizations to get the Article repealed. The Indian Supreme Court is hearing on August 6, 2018, a petition seeking abrogation of Article 35-A.

Srinagar, July 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Human Rights Commission has issued a notice to the SSP Awantipora, asking him to submit compliance report within 10 days in a petition seeking probe into the killing of a freedom activist, Mushtaq Ahmed Chopan.

The police had arrested Mushtaq Ahmed Chopan, a resident of Wagad village in Tral, from Watlab area of Sopore on January 10 along with ten other people. He was killed in a mysterious blast in Tral police station. »

New Delhi, July 28 (KMS): Delhi Police Special Cell filed a charge-sheet in a case where two Kashmiri youth were arrested for allegedly hacking 500 Indian websites and posting “pro-Pakistan” slogans on the pages of these sites.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Kashmiri youth, Shahid Malla (28), and Aadil Hussain (20), were arrested on the charges of hacking the Indian websites. »
