Srinagar, July 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has appealed to the justice-loving people across the globe to raise their voice against New Delhi’s attempts to change the demography of Jammu and Kashmir and damage its disputed nature by using its judiciary.

The DFP General Secretary, Maulana Muhammad Abdullah Tari, in a statement issued in Srinagar said that challenging Article 35-A of the Indian Constitution was an open assault on the people of Jammu and Kashmir and was aimed at changing its demographic composition. He said Article 35-A is related to the state subject laws and once these laws are done away with, it will be disastrous for the entire population of Jammu and Kashmir. »

Srinagar, July 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has condemned the fresh wave of mass frisking by the Indian forces’ personnel across the Valley, terming it as a tool to instill fear among masses ahead of August 15, India’s Independence Day.

A spokesman for the forum in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “It is height of repression that the forces are checking mobile phones of youth, SIM cards and phone gallery and laptops, which is the worst form of oppression and in case any pro-freedom content is found, mobile phones are broken and the owner is subjected to torture. This exhibits state intolerance and Ghunda raj [rule of thugs].” »

Srinagar, July 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has condemned the rampant use of draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA), and FIRs by the Indian authorities against youth to prolong their illegal detention.

APHC General Secretary, Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that youth were detained on fake charges. He expressed grave concern over the use of excessive force by Indian troops and police against innocent civilians and said, “Intimidations and coercive measures cannot force people into submission.” »

Srinagar, July 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, three personnel of Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were injured in a grenade blast in south Kashmir’s Islamabad town on Monday evening.

Reports said that unknown attackers lobbed a grenade towards the CRPF personnel in Sherbagh area of the town, leaving three personnel injured. »

Singh’s remarks on Kashmir ridiculed

Srinagar, July 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership has made it clear to India that any attempt aimed at changing the inherited demographic character of Jammu and Kashmir will be resisted, tooth and nail.

The leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a joint statement issued in Srinagar pointed out that the Article-35A was related to the life and death of the people of Jammu and Kashmir who were ready to spill their blood to safeguard this law. The JRL said that India could kill or detain the Kashmiri leadership but could not force them to make compromise on the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir. The statement said that the design to change the demography of the occupied territory had always been on the agenda of RSS-backed Bharatiya Janata Party government in New Delhi, and the filing of the petition in Indian Supreme Court challenging the Article 35 A was a part of the plan. »

Srinagar, July 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a team of Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA), notorious for implicating Kashmiri resistance leaders in fake cases, raided the residence of Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) Chairperson Aasiya Andrabi at Iqbal Colony in Soura area of Srinagar, today.

The NIA sleuths carried out a search at the DeM chief’s residence in connection with a fake case filed against her by the Indian agency. »

Srinagar, July 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, speakers at a meeting in Srinagar reiterated the resolve to protect Article 35-A of the Indian constitution, at all costs.

The meeting was chaired by Grand Mufti designate of Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti Nasirul Islam, to discuss Protection of Article 35-A and Article 370.

It was agreed by all members that no one would be allowed to fiddle with the State subject status of J&K. »
