Srinagar, July 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Mutahida Majlis-e-Ulema and Anjuman-e-Auqaf Jamia Masjid, Srinagar, have termed the occupation authorities’ action of preventing Juma prayers at historic Jamia Masjid as a direct interference in the religious affairs of the people.

The authorities disallowed congregational prayers at the grand mosque on Friday by imposing restrictions in Srinagar to stop people from conducting a march towards Naqashband Sahib. Cal for the march was given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik to pay tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs particularly those massacred by the troops of Dogra Maharaja on 13th July in 1931. »

Mujahideen say Tariq was killed by Indian agencies

Srinagar, July 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, according him the status of a martyr, the body of a youth from Heff village in Shopian district was exhumed from the general graveyard after five days and buried at Heff’s martyrs’ graveyard by local people.

The youth, Tariq Ahmad Mohand, was abducted by unknown men on July 8 from outside his home. His body was found the next day at Rakhmoman area of Arwani in neighbouring Kulgam district. After a post-mortem conducted at sub-district hospital, Shopian, police in Kulgam handed over the body to the family. »

Brussels, July 14 (KMS): Kashmir Council EU (KCEU) held a peaceful protest camp in Brussels, the capital city of Belgium, on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Kashmiri martyrs of 13th July 1931.

The camp was organized in front of European Union’s institutions including EU’s External Action Service at the EU headquarters in Brussels. The programme was a part of Kashmir Council European Union’s widespread awareness movement on Kashmir and copies of the UN’s recent report on Kashmir were also handed over to the officials of the EU’s institutions. »

Srinagar, July 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders have condoled with senior resistance leader, Mukhtar Ahmed Sofi, on the sad demise of his father in Malakhnag area of Islamabad district.

The spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) in a statement issued in Srinagar, paying tributes to the deceased, hailed his role in the ongoing resistance movement. He prayed Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with patience. »

New Delhi, July 14 (KMS): India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) has summoned an occupied Kashmir-based journalist for examination in connection with a false case registered against Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi, and her associates, Nahida Nasreen and Fehmeeda Sofi.

Aaqib Javaid, who is presently working as a reporter with local daily Kashmir Observer, has been summoned by the NIA to attend its headquarters in New Delhi on July 15 (Sunday). He has been asked to attend the NIA superintendent, Vikas Katheria, who is chief investigating officer of the fake case registered against Aasiya Andrabi, Fehmeeda Sofi and Nahida Nasreen under the charges of sedition and waging of war against India. The case was registered on April 27, 2018 in New Delhi by the NIA. »

Srinagar, July 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has said that the Kashmiri people are pursuing a peaceful movement to achieve their right to self-determination and they will never succumb to the state terrorism unleashed by India to suppress their struggle.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the curbs imposed by the occupation authorities on Friday to prevent a march towards Naqashband Sahib. The Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik had called the march to pay tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs particularly those massacred by the troops of Dogra Maharaja on 13th July in 1931. »

London, July 14 (KMS): The Jammu and Kashmir Right to Self-determination Movement International, headed by Raja Najabat Hussain, in a statement said that the European Parliament’s Committee on Human Rights has decided to hold a hearing on the human rights violations by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir.

The Jammu and Kashmir Right to Self-determination Movement International in a statement issued in London said that the efforts of Wajid Khan, European Member Parliament from North West of England had brought fruit. »

Srinagar, July 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, former military secretary, Lt General Syed Ata Hasnain has been appointed as the Chancellor of the Central University of Kashmir (CUK).

A statement issued by the CUK in Srinagar said, “The President of India in his capacity as the Visitor of the Central University of Kashmir is pleased to appoint Lt Gen (Retd) Syed Ata Hasnain, former Military Secretary, Indian Army, as the Chancellor of the university, for a term of five years.” »

Srinagar, July 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a soldier of Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has gone missing from Shopian district of after his leave request was turned down by the seniors.

Constable Baran Rai of CRPF 14 battalion went missing from the District Police Lines, Shopian, on Thursday after his leave was disapproved by his officers media reports said. It is believed that the soldier has left for his home in Assam without informing his unit.

Meanwhile, an Indian soldier, Naik Krishna Bahadur Tokri, died of heart attack in Pattan area of Baramulla district.

Restrictions in Srinagar to prevent march

Srinagar, July 13 (KMS): Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over observed Kashmir Martyrs’ Day, today, as the day of renewal of the pledge that they will continue the mission of these martyrs till the achievement of the inalienable right to self-determination.

The day was marked by complete shutdown in occupied Kashmir call for which was given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.

The occupation authorities had imposed restrictions in Srinagar and Kupwara district and deployed Indian troops and police personnel in other major towns in strength to prevent people from conducting a march towards Naqashband Sahib in Srinagar where the martyrs of 13th July are buried. »
