Islamabad, July 08 (KMS): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) chapter of Hurriyet leaders organized a rally in Islamabad to commemorate the second martyrdom anniversary of popular youth leader, Burhan Muzaffar Wani.

Burhan Wani along with his two associates was martyred by Indian troops in a fake encounter on July 8 in 2016.

The protesters on the occasion were carrying portraits of martyred Burhan Wani and banners and placards inscribed with anti-India and pro-freedom slogans. They also raised high-pitched slogans in favour of freedom and against the Indian bondages. »

Islamabad, July 07 (KMS): The leaders of All Parties Hurriyet Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter have strongly condemned the shifting of illegally detained Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson Aasiya Andrabi and her two associates, Fahmeeda Sofi and Nahida Nasreen from Srinagar to New Delhi by India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA).

Hurriyat leaders during a press conference at National Press Club, Islamabad, said that India was trying to suppress the genuine voice of Kashmiri people by implicating the pro-freedom leadership in false and baseless cases. They described the shifting of the DeM leaders as political vendetta and said that the Indian government was using NIA to crush the genuine struggle of Kashmiri people for inalienable right to self- determination. They urged the international community to play their role for the release of all the three women and other illegally detained Kashmiri leaders including Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Masarrat Aalam Butt, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Merajuddin Kalwal, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Peer Saifullah, Farooq Ahmad Dar and others. »

Srinagar, July 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organisations have strongly condemned the killing of three youth including a teenage girl in Redwani area of south Kashmir by Indian forces.

The Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) in a statement issued in Srinagar said the trigger-happy Indian forces’ personnel feel pleasure in killing innocent and unarmed Kashmiris that’s why they always indulge in so-called search operations and use brute force in the garb of such operations. Expressing deep shock over the brutal killing of Shakir Ahmad, Irshad Majeed and Andleeb, it said firing on unarmed civilians has become a routine in the occupied territory where men in uniform are the real rulers who enjoy all powers. »
