Srinagar, July 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, noted religious scholar and the Chairman of Ummat-e-Islami, Qazi Yasir, has asked India to stop flexing muscles on Kashmiri people as the policy of aggression has failed to intimidate them into submission.

Qazi Yasir addressing a public gathering in Wachi area in Shopian district said that Indian authorities needed to understand that they were endangering the peace of south Asian region by lingering the Kashmir dispute on. “India has a key role to peace building in the whole of South Asia and it must resolve the lingering dispute to ensure peace at the earliest,” he added. »

Srinagar, July 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has warned of a massive agitation if New Delhi tampers with Article 35-A of Indian Constitution that grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq addressing a gathering in Srinagar said, the people of Kashmir are cautiously and carefully watching the events around 35-A as it comes up for hearing on August 6 in the Indian Supreme Court. He said that in 2014 the RSS backed NGO, ‘We the Citizens’, filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the validity of article 35-A. »

Srinagar, July 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has strongly denounced the continued illegal detention of its Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, and plight of the detainees languishing in different jails.

Srinagar, July 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in Islamabad town and different areas of Kulgam district on the third consecutive day, today, against the killings of two youth by Indian troops.

The youth, Aadil Ahmed Butt and Bilal Ahmad Dar, were killed by the troops in Lal Chowk area of Islamabad town, on Wednesday.All shops and commercial establishments are closed in the main Islamabad town and Qaimoh and Khudwani areas of Kulgam district while transport is off the road.

Meanwhile, the occupation authorities have imposed undeclared curfew in Mattan Chowk, Reshi Bazar and Cheeni Chowk and other areas of Islamabad town to prevent people from staging demonstrations against the killings.

Srinagar, July 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has urged Britain to play an effective role in the resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “The UK should play a key role and share responsibility for amicable resolution of vexed Kashmir issue.”

He referred to the UN human Rights report on Kashmir presented by Lord Qurban Hussain, Lord Nazir Ahmed and Lord Tariq Ahmed in the UK Parliament. “We hope all members of United Nations will listen to screams and take notice of atrocities perpetrated by Indian authorities on the people of Jammu and Kashmir and will make efforts to see aspiration of subjugated people accomplished,” he said. »
