Srinagar, August 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed concern over the conspiracies being hatched by RSS-backed BJP government in Delhi which are aimed at turning Muslim majority population into a minority in Jammu and Kashmir by abrogating all legal and constitutional barriers.

The APHC at its Executive Council meeting, which was presided over by Secretary General, Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi, discussed the volatile situation in the wake of Indian extremist forces’ move against Article 35-A.

An APHC spokesman in a statement issued after the meeting in Srinagar said, the meeting expressed grave concern over this issue and vowed that the protection of Article 35-A was a “do or die matter” for the people of Kashmir. “We are at the crossroads of our history where the people will have to decide whether to live with dignity by resisting political, economic and cultural aggression of India or to perish by allowing it to succeed in its anti-Kashmir designs,” he said.

The meeting pledged to support vehemently the programme chalked out by the Joint Resistance Leadership in letter and spirit and termed the unanimous support by all the trade unions, High Court Bar Association, employees, intellectuals, transporters and students as highly laudable.

The meeting cautioned the freedom loving people to remain vigilant about the political hypocrites and black sheep who are helping India to abrogate all the legal and constitutional provisions for their petty political benefits.

Meanwhile, an APHC delegation comprising Yasmeen Raja, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Nisar Hussain Rathar, Imtiaz Ahmed Shah, Molvi Bashir Irfani, Syed Muhammad Shafi, Syed Imtiaz Haider, Nisar Ahmed Butt, Fayaz Ahmed and Arshad Ahmed Butt visited the residence of martyr Mudasir Ahmed Butt at Barzullah in Srinagar and expressed condolences with his family members.
