Condemns shifting of Aasiya Andrabi to Tihar jail

Srinagar, August 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik has paid rich tributes to martyr Syed Irfanul Hassan Shah on his martyrdom day today.

Muhammad Yasin Malik while remembering Syed Irfanul Hassan Shah in a statement said that the martyr strived for the freedom of Jammu and Kashmir from his early youth and sacrificed his life for the sacred cause. He said no Kashmiri can ever forget the sacrifices rendered by these great martyrs and it is the duty of every Kashmiri to remain vigilant and connected to the struggle that is nourished by the sacred blood of great martyrs. »

Shutdown in Shopian on 4th day today

 Srinagar, August 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two more Kashmiri youth in Bandipora district, today.

The troops killed the youth during a violent cordon and search operation at Govind in Gurez area of Bandipore district. Earlier, four Indian army men including a Major were killed in an attack on a patrolling party of the army in the area. The killed army men were identified as Major KP Rane, Havaldar Jamie Singh, Havaldar Vikramjeet and rifleman Mandeep of Indian Army’s 36 Rashtriya Rifles. »

Srinagar, August 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, unknown gunmen on Tuesday evening shot and injured an Indian Special Police Officer (SPO) in Tral area of Pulwama district.

Reports said that SPO was injured when he was fired by unknown gunmen in Pastuna village of the district. »

New Delhi, August 07 (KMS): A 14-member team of lawyers from High Court Bar Association of occupied Kashmir (HCBA) was present to argue its application for intervention in a petition seeking abrogation of Article 35-A of the Indian Constitution when it came before the Indian Supreme Court for hearing.

Besides the intervention application moved by the HCBA, 12 other applications seeking intervention were listed before the bench on Monday. The bench, however, listed a case along with applications in the week commencing August 27. »

Srinagar, August 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, representatives of trade and businesses community have said that they will chalk out a strategy in consultation with the Joint Resistance Leadership to thwart Indian efforts for abrogation of Article 35-A.

Several representatives of Kashmir-based trade bodies who hit the streets protesting the onslaught on the special status of Jammu and Kashmir in a statement in Srinagar said that they were ready to adhere to any programme announced by the JRL to protect special status of the territory. »

Srinagar, August 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has made it clear that abrogation of or amendment to Article 35-A of the Indian Constitution will not be acceptable to the people of Jammu and Kashmir at any cost.

The JI in a statement issued in Srinagar said, the communalist government of India led by Hindutva forces will never be allowed to create a Palestine-like situation in Jammu and Kashmir. “India has devised a vicious plan under the patronage of Zionist regime to forcibly occupy the land of the local residents and make them homeless in their own native land,” it said. »

Jammu, August 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Talib Hussain, a social activist who spearheaded the campaign to seek justice for gang rape and murder victim girl from Kathua, Aasifa, has suffered head injuries during police custody at Samba Police Station in Jammu region.

Noted lawyer, Deepika Singh Rajawat, told media men in Jammu that Talib was injured after being attacked obviously by Hindu inmates at the behest of prejudiced police authorities in the Muslim minority Jammu region.

The social media was abuzz with the reports that Talib Hussain was assaulted by inmates inside the lockup at Samba Police Station and many people expressed their concern over the threat to his life in custody. »

Hurriyat delegations visit martyrs in different areas
Srinagar, August 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed for the fourth consecutive day, today, in Shopian against the killing of six youth by the Indian troops during cordon and search operations and firing on protesters on Saturday.

All shops, business establishments, schools and colleges and petrol pumps remained closed for the fourth straight day in Shopian town and other parts of the district. Public transport was also off the roads in the south Kashmir district. »
