Secret shifting of Aasiya to Tihar Jail denounced

 Srinagar, August 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, at least four youth were killed in a fresh act of Indian state terrorism at Rafiabad in Baramulla district, today, raising the toll to six in two days.

The youth were killed during a cordon and search operation jointly launched by Indian army’s 32 Rashtriya Rifles and 9-Para Commandos in the upper reaches of Rafiabad area of the district. The operation continued till reports last came in. Indian troops are also using gunship helicopters in the operation. Earlier, an Indian army commando was injured in an attack in the same area.

Meanwhile, massive protests erupted after Indian troops launched a cordon and search operation in Gudoora area of Pulwama district, today. The troops used brute force for disperse the protesters triggering clashes in the area. »

Srinagar, August 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Islami Tanzeem Azadi Jammu and Kashmir, Abdul Samad Inqilabi, visited the families of martyrs in Shopian and expressed solidarity with them.

Abdul Samad Inqilabi visited the residences of martyrs Muhammad Arif Mir, Omar Nazir Malik, Aijaz Ahmad Pal, Waqar Ahmad, Shaikh Irshad Khan, Aadil Malik and Shahid Khan in different areas of Shopian and paid tributes to the martyrs. »

Srinagar, August 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, police arrested several residents including father and a brother of a mujahid during the nocturnal raids in Tral area of Pulwama district.

Locals informed media that the police personnel raided the residence of a mujahid, Aadil Mir, in Monghama area of Tral on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. “They detained father and brother of Aadil,” the locals said.

Meanwhile, relatives of several other mujahideen were also arrested by the Indian police and troops in different areas of Tral. A senior police official of the district while confirming the arrests claimed that they were working as over-ground workers of mujahideen. However, locals refuted the police claim.

Srinagar, August 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an Indian para commando was injured in an attack in Baramulla district, today.

A joint team of Indian Army’s 32 Rashtriya Rifles and 9 Para Commandos launched a cordon and search operation in Rafiabad area of the district, today. During the operation, some unidentified gunmen fired upon the troops, injuring a para commando critically.

The operation was still going on when reports last came in. further details are awaited.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the youth were killed by the personnel of 32 Rashtriya Rifles and 9 para commandos during a cordon and search operation in Rafiabad area of the district.

Indian troops also used gunship helicopters in the area. The operation was going on till reports last came in.

London, August 08 (KMS):  The President of London-based Jammu and Kashmir Council for Human Rights (JKCHR), Dr Syed Nazir Gilani has said that there is a collective feeling in Kashmir that radicals in India are behind the five petitions challenging the Article 35-A of the Indian Constitution that bars outsiders to own or purchase property in Jammu and Kashmir.

Dr Gilani in an article titled ‘Indian Supreme Court has no Jurisdiction’ reminded the Indian government that its Supreme Court had no jurisdiction of the matter, and was also fettered by the UN Resolution of 30 March, 1951 and that New Delhi and its puppet regime in occupied Kashmir remained under the UN Security Council caution. »

Srinagar, August 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Dukhtaran-e-Millat has strongly condemned the shifting of party Chief, Aasiya Andrabi, along with her associates Nahida Nasreen and Fahmida Sofi from Mandoli Jail to notorious Tihar Jail in New Delhi.

The DeM spokesperson, Rifat Fatima, in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Aasiya Andrabi along with her two associates was lodged at Mandoli Jail on a judicial remand till August 10, but on August 5, they were secretly shifted to Tihar Jail without even informing their families and lawyers. »

Jammu, August 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, scores of men belonging to the Gujjar community held a protest rally in Banihal area of Ramban district in Jammu region against torture in police custody on community leader, Talib Hussain.

Talib Hussain had spearheaded the campaign for justice for the victim of gang-rape-and-murder, eight-year-old Aasifa Bano of Kathua.

The protesters gathered at Municipal Park in Banihal and took out the protest rally. They were also raising slogans against the BJP and the former so-called minister, Lal Singh, and demanded an impartial inquiry into the incident. Talib Hussain is currently lodged in Samba Police Station in a fake case. »

Jammu, August 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Anjum-e-Imamia, Jammu, as well as the family of the youth shot dead by the personnel of Indian Central Reserve Police Force at former puppet Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah’s residence in Jammu have demanded registration of case against the killer troops.

Anjum-e-Imamia, Jammu, in a statement issued in Jammu asked for a fair probe into the killing of the youth at Farooq Abdullah’s Bathindi residence, a few days back. The demand was raised at a meeting of the Anjum-e-Imamia at the shrine of Peer Mitha. »

Srinagar, August 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Human Rights Commission of the territory has raised questions over the manner Indian police applied the draconian Public Safety Act (PSA for preventive detention of a person without trial for six months to one year.

Hearing an application on the detention of Assadullah Parray, a leader of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League and resident of Hajin in Bandipora district, the Commission Chairman Justice (retd) Bilal Nazki said that the report filed by SSP Bandipora made an “interesting reading”. According to the report, Parray’s detention under the PSA was quashed by the High Court on 16 December 2017 but he was arrested again under various FIRs registered against him in 2016. »
