Youth’s killing; registration of FIR against CRPF troops demanded » Kashmir Media Service

Jammu, August 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Anjum-e-Imamia, Jammu, as well as the family of the youth shot dead by the personnel of Indian Central Reserve Police Force at former puppet Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah’s residence in Jammu have demanded registration of case against the killer troops.

Anjum-e-Imamia, Jammu, in a statement issued in Jammu asked for a fair probe into the killing of the youth at Farooq Abdullah’s Bathindi residence, a few days back. The demand was raised at a meeting of the Anjum-e-Imamia at the shrine of Peer Mitha.

Addressing the meeting, Syed Afaq Hussain Kazmi, vice-president, Anjum-e-Imamia, Jammu, said that it was a cold-blooded day-light murder and a fair enquiry should be conducted into the incident.

Meanwhile, the family of the youth demanded the arrest of the CRPF man involved in the cold-blooded murder. The youth’s killing had triggered protests by his relatives.

“We demand registration of an FIR against the personnel involved in his cold-blooded murder and who posted their pictures on social media,” Syed Junaid Hashmi, one of the relatives of the deceased, told reporters in Jammu.

“He was not carrying any weapon and was not affiliated with any militant organisation. Why gun shots were fired to kill him instead of making any attempt to overpower him and arrest him,” he said, adding the family was told that there was no CCTV footage of the incident available.

According to police statement, Syeed Murfad Shah, 25, the resident of Chinore locality, arrived in his private car at the gate of the residence of Farooq Abdullah and his son Omar Abdullah at Bhatindi on August 4, and entered into a scuffle with the CRPF troops deployed there before being shot dead inside the house.

However, Hashmi questioned the police version and demanded immediate arrest of the killer CRPF men.
