Srinagar, August 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, two youth were injured, today, after Indian troops fired bullets and pellets on protesters in a Shopian district.

The youth, Fayaz Ahmed Padroo, was injured when the troops fired upon the demonstrators protesting against a cordon and search operation in Tukroo area of the district, witnesses said. Fayaz Ahmad Padroo, witnesses said, received bullet in his chest. He was removed by locals to the nearby hospital.

The Medical Superintendent of Pulwama district hospital, Dr Abdur Rashid, told media that two injured men were brought to the hospital for treatment. He said one had a firearm injury and another pellets. The youth injured by the bullet, he said, has been referred to Srinagar for treatment.
