Srinagar, August 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani paid rich tributes to prominent martyred Hurriyat leader, Sheikh Abdul Aziz, on his 10th martyrdom anniversary, today.

Syed Ali Gilani, who is under house arrest, telephonically addressing a conference held at the Hurriyat headquarters in Srinagar termed Sheikh Aziz as a visionary political leader as well as a brave commander, who dared to face bullets on his chest rather than to succumb or surrender before the Indian military might, although he was leading a peaceful protest march of millions of people. »

Islamabad, August 11 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter organized a seminar in Islamabad, today, to pay tributes to prominent martyred leader, Sheikh Abdul Aziz, on his 10 martyrdom anniversary.

Sheikh Abdul Aziz was shot dead by Indian troops on 11th August, 2008, while he was leading a procession from Srinagar to the Line of Control against the economic blockade of the Kashmir Valley by Hindu extremists of Jammu. »

Srinagar, August 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik has paid rich tributes to prominent martyred leader Sheikh Abdul Aziz on his martyrdom anniversary.

Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement in Srinagar said that Sheikh Aziz was a humble soul, a dedicated freedom lover and a great freedom-fighter who remained in the front row of resistance and even sacrificed his life for the just cause. »

Srinagar, August 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Coordination Committee (JKCSCC) has called for complete shutdown on August 27 against the BJP-led Indian government’s attempts to abrogate Article 35-A of the Indian Constitution which guarantees special privileges and rights of the permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir.

The JKCSCC members gave the shutdown call while addressing a press conference in Srinagar, today. »

Srinagar, August 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete strike was observed in Tral town of Pulwama district, today, against the arrest of youth by Indian police.

All shops and business establishments are closed in the town while traffic is off the road.

Indian police have arrested several youth in the last few days during nocturnal raids in the town.

Brussels, August 11 (KMS): The Kashmir Council European Union (KCEU) will hold a protest demonstration in front of Indian Embassy in Brussels on 15th August to mark India’s Independence Day as Black Day.

The KCEU in a statement issued in Brussels said that the demonstration would start at 9:00am and conclude at 10:00am. It said that a protest memorandum would also be handed over to the Indian embassy on the occasion. »
