Killer of 3 Kashmiri civilians Major Aditya gets Shaurya Chakra » Kashmir Media Service

New Delhi, August 15 (KMS): In utter disregard to human values, the Modi-led Indian government has announced to give gallantry award Shaurya Chakra to Major Aditya Kumar, against whom Kashmir police have registered a case for killing three civilians during a protest in Shopian area of occupied Kashmir in January, this year.

The Indian government gave the Shaurya Chakra to the killer Major, which is otherwise given in the face of the enemy for gallantry.

Interestingly, New Delhi had filed a petition in the Indian Supreme Court to seek quashing of the FIR against Major Aditya for killing civilians in occupied Kashmir. However, in July, the puppet administration of occupied Kashmir informed the Indian apex court that the case was justly registered against Major Aditya after a thorough probe into the Shopian killing.

In spite of all this, Major Aditya is among the 131 gallantry awardees of the Indian armed and paramilitary forces whose names were announced by the Modi government on the eve of Independence Day.

Major Aditya has been awarded the Shaurya Chakra – the third highest peacetime gallantry award.

Another Indian soldier Rifleman Aurangzeb is also among the awardees of Shaurya Chakra. He was part of the operation during which renowned Kashmiri freedom activist, Sameer Tiger, was killed in April, this year. However, he was, later, abducted from Pulwama by unknown gunmen and killed.
