Srinagar, August 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has termed the notice of the Indian Enforcement Directorate (ED) to Syed Ali Gilani as biased and unrealistic.

The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar said Indian authorities have crossed all democratic, constitutional and moral limits to satisfy their hatred against Kashmiris, in general, and leadership, in particular. »

Modi’s Kashmir remarks well-scripted drama: Gilani

Srinagar, August 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, massive protests erupted, today, after Indian troops launched cordon and search operations in Sopore, Kulgam and Pulwama areas.

People took to the streets and staged demonstrations at Tujjar Sharief in Sopore, in Khudwani area of Kulgam and at Drubgam in Pulwama after the troops started operations in these areas. Indian police and troops used brute force and fired teargas shells to disperse the protesters, triggering clashes between the demonstrators and the forces’ personnel. The troops also launched a siege and search operation in Jhanger area of Rajouri district.

On the other hand, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s Kashmir remarks in his Independence Day speech were nothing but a well-scripted and stage-managed drama. Narendra Modi in his speech, yesterday, stated that only a warm and affectionate embrace, not bullets and abuses, will resolve the Kashmir issue. Syed Ali Gilani said that Modi’s magical speech might be celebrated by his own people and his stooges anywhere but the Kashmiris had been witnessing the real face of Indian rulers since decades and were well aware of the beasts and criminals in the democratic veil. »

Protesters subjected to brute force in Hajin

Srinagar, August 17 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an Indian soldier was killed in an attack in Kupwara district today morning.

The personnel of Indian Army’s 32 Rashtriya Rifles were attacked while they were conducting a cordon and search operation at Kachlu Kralgund in Handwara area of the district. One soldier was killed in the attack. The operation continued till last reports came in. »

Srinagar, August 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, forceful demonstrations erupted after Indian troops launched cordon and search operations in Pulwama and Kulgam areas

As soon as the troops launched an operation in Drubgam area of Pulwama district, today, people took to the streets and staged massive protests. The troops used brute force to disperse the protesters, triggering clashes in the area.

Massive protests also broke out during a cordon and search operation by the troops in Khudwani area of Kulgam district. The troops used batons and fired teargas shells to disperse the protesters. This led to the fierce clashes between the demonstrators and the troops.

Meanwhile, Indian police arrested several contractual employees when they tried to hold a protest march in Srinagar to press for their demands.

Srinagar, August 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed at Aripanthan in Beerwah area of Budgam district, today, to mark the martyrdom anniversary of four civilians.

The civilians, Muhammad Ashraf Wani, Manzoor Ahmed Lone, Javaid Ahmed Najar and Javaid Ahmed Sheikh, were killed when Indian troops had opened fire on peaceful protesters in the area two years ago. »

London, August 16 (KMS): British Kashmiris and Sikhs assembled outside the India High Commission in London to mark India’s Independence Day as Black Day and o protest against the state terrorism of Modi administration.

The protesters raised slogans in favour of Kashmir’s freedom from Indian occupation. They demanded of the international community and human rights organizations to play role in stopping Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir.

Srinagar, August 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) has said that unfurling Indian flag under the siege of occupation forces inside the four walls of Bakhshi Stadium will not affect the disputed nature of Jammu and Kashmir.

The JKML General Secretary Mohammad Rafiq Ganai in a statement in Srinagar said from last almost seven decades the people of Kashmir have not given any importance to the futile exercise. He India should realize the ground situation and show seriousness towards Kashmir dispute and should fulfill the promises made by its leadership with the people of Kashmir of giving them their right to self-determination. »

Srinagar, August 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) has condemned the authorities for turning the entire Valley into a military garrison.

Hurriyat leader and the JKSM Chairman, Zafar Akbar Butt in a statement in Srinagar said the arrests, cordon and search operations and harassment of Hurriyat leaders and activists cannot suppress the freedom sentiment of Kashmiri people. He said on one side India was celebrating its Independence Day and on the other, Indian forces were committing atrocities on the Kashmiri people to intimidate them and silence their voice for their basic right. »
