FO condemns killing spree by Indian troops in IOK » Kashmir Media Service

Islamabad, August 16 (KMS): Foreign Office (FO) Spokesman, Dr Mohammad Faisal has condemned the continued killing spree by the Indian troops in occupied Kashmir.

Dr Mohammad Faisal in his briefing in Islamabad expressed concern over the health condition of illegally detained Hurriyat leaders including Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Masarrat Aalam Butt, Aasiya Andrabi, Nahida Nasreen, Fahmeeda Sofi, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Altaf Ahmed Shah, Peer Saifullah, Merajuddin Kalwal, Farooq Ahmed Dar, Ayaz Muhammad Akbar, Shahid-ul-Islam and Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori languishing in different jails.

He also strongly condemned the continued house arrest of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, and other Hurriyat leaders and activists and so-called cordon and search operations being carried out by the Indian forces’ personnel to harass the innocent Kashmiris.

The spokesman said that despite Indian state oppression, the people Kashmir celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day and hoisted Pakistani flags in Srinagar, Shopian, Bijbehara and other areas.

He said that the Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and across the world observed the Indian Independence Day on 15 August as Black Day to express their resentment against India’s illegal occupation of their homeland.
