Srinagar, August 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir has strongly condemned the continued illegal detention of party activist, Farooq Ahmed Shah.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Indian police had arrested Farooq Ahmed Shah on August 15 and he was not released till now. He said that the family of detainee was distressed over his continued illegal detention.

The spokesman, terming the detention of the party activist as the worst example of human rights violation, demanded his immediate release along with other illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in different jails of India and the territory.

Meanwhile, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemned forces personnel for vandalizing properties and arresting youth in Bhan Kulgam and described it the worst type of state terrorism.
