Pakistan wants to settle Kashmir dispute through talks: Qureshi » Kashmir Media Service

Islamabad, August 24 (KMS): Foreign Minister, Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan wants to improve ties with India and resolve all outstanding issues including the Kashmir dispute through talks.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi addressing media persons here said, “But it takes two to tango. You cannot clap with just one hand. We have a positive stance and will remain hopeful.”

He said the current position of the ties between Pakistan and India was not a secret as peace talks are suspended, but ‘we have to see how we can move forward.’

He also mentioned Prime Minister, Imran Khan’s July 26 victory speech, in which he had said that his government wanted to resolve all disputes, including the core issue of Kashmir, through dialogue.

To a question about the Kashmir dispute, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that there was national consensus and the government and opposition were on the same page.
