Demonstrations against onslaught on Article 35-A

Srinagar, August 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that the Kashmiris’ identity, honour, economy and majority status is at stake due to constitutional, judicial and political aggression unleashed by New Delhi in the garb of abrogating Article 35-A and Article 370 of the Indian Constitution. These Articles grant special status to the occupied territory and its citizens.

The APHC in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the use of brute force against the common people especially the youth by the Indian troops and police across the Kashmir Valley. It said that people were being intimidated, subjected to severe torture, abused and humiliated on the pretext of cordon and search operations by the Indian forces’ personnel. The APHC appealed to the international community to help in resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations. »

Srinagar, August 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders have paid glowing tributes to the youth who was martyred by the Indian troops in Kokernag area of Islamabad district, yesterday.

Hurriyat leaders, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Mohammad Ahsan Untoo, Ghulam Nabi War and Ghulam Nabi Waseem in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the sacrifices offered by Kashmiris would not go waste. They said that the mission of the Kashmiri martyrs would be taken to its logical conclusion. »

Jammu, August 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Director General of Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar, has revealed that there are 450 camps of the paramilitary force across the Kashmir Valley.

Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar said this while talking to media persons in Jammu. He said that some of the camps were located at public places. »

Srinagar, August 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, one Indian soldier was killed while another injured in separate explosions in Kupwara district.

The personnel of Indian Army’s 5/9 Gorkha Rifles regiment were on a routine patrol duty in Keran area of the district when the landmine blasts took place. In the explosions, two soldiers identified as Abishekh Chhetri and Nihal Gurang received critical injuries. Nihal Gurang later succumbed to his injuries at 92 base military hospital, Badamibagh in Srinagar.
